Chapter 15

Hiii, so sorry for not posting this sooner, I went back to school this week and have been very busy. This chapter is interesting and I just wanted to put the TW for ED now because it is hinted at throughout the whole chapter. Also for anyone who hasn't read the Scarab beetle series yet, its available in the uk on Amazon prime for free! You just need the kindle app, however I'm not sure about America. We walked into the dining room and I saw a table full of food. There was a glossy, browned turkey with the fluffiest looking potatoes you can imagine. There was so much more, but I couldn't look at it. I was imagining what it was going to do to my body. I was freaking out inside, how was I going to eat any of this? What if they noticed? I sat away from Dr Sean, Mr Blackbourne and North because if anyone was going to notice, it would be them. I didn't know how much longer I could keep this from them, Mr Blackbourne almost noticed, Dr Green as well. Max, Kota's dog came up to me no, so I pat his head. I had an idea. I could feed my food to him and no one would see. We sat and started to put food on our plates. I took a good sized portion.

" Erica, you've outdone yourself this year." Axel grinned. The others murmured in response. They tucked in. I took small bites and every now and then I fed a little piece to Max under the table. The turkey was delicious, but I couldn't enjoy it. Max looked happy though.

After the dinner which I didn't eat much of we started on the presents. I begun to worry that the boys wouldn't like the things that I got them or would think that they were to personal. I thought that Mr Blackbourne noticed, he came up to me and told me that it would be alright and that I didn't need to worry.

When we were all sitting down on the sofas or on the floor around the sofas, Kota told me to pass round my presents for everyone. I gave Mr Blackbourne his present first. It was wrapped in two parts- his new suit jacket and the music note cuff links. I could tell by the expression on his face that he had no idea what I had gotten him. I then gave Dr Sean his Origami paper, Luke his Chinese handcuffs and lock picks, North his personalised tools, Brandon his motorcycle sticker, Corey and Raven their date night tickets to a hotel and 5 star restaurant, Nathan his sports equipment and a coffee machine for Marc and Axel since they always complained about making coffee.

Once I had handed out all the presents the boys ripped the wrapping paper open. They all had the same gentle facial expression like I had got them exactly what they wanted. Or at least that was what I thought. After 2 minutes of none of them saying anything I started to ramble. "I totally understand if you don't like what I have gotten you, I thought that some of them might have been a bit personal and if you want me to give them back then I understand." That seemed to snap them out of their trance since they all looked at me and spoke over each other to assure me that what I had gotten them was good. This put a big smile on my face so I looked down.

The boys then all gave me the presents they got me. All apart from North. He told me that he had his present at his house and would bring it to me later. Once all the boys presents were handed out I started to unwrap them. I did Luke and Gabriels present first. They got me loads and loads of clothes! It was a completely new wardrobe and almost everything was pink. When I realised how much thought they put into it I gave them both a kiss on the cheek and they turned red. I then opened Axels present- he got me a mini heater that worked on battery power and hand warmers. I assumed that it was for the camp the boys had started to talk to me about. I then opened Corey and Brandon's present. They had gotten me a big pink tent, it looked quite big and comfortable and I knew that I would be alright sleeping in it. There was also a present that seemed to be from just Brandon, it was a nice bag filled with things like nail polish, face masks and bath bombs. I knew that I would have a lot of fun with them. When I went to thank them, Corey had this look on his face like he was mad so I smiled at him.
