Mr Blackbourne's POV
I had a feeling this girl was going to change our group forever. Miss Sorenson was so sweet and intelligent. Different to other girls in the academy. I didn't know if I wanted her to join the academy. She is the ideal candidate, I was torn.
The boys told me that they arranged for her to come to the diner. They also said that she hinted that she could only come if her mother was asleep. That was a red flag. She never came to the diner in the end. I wondered if everything was alright and I thought to check one her. No, I was just being paranoid, I will see her tomorrow. I got into bed and fell asleep.
When I awoke, I got dressed into my new suit, it was a dark blue. I ate some oatmeal and when to pick Sean up from the hospital.
"good morning!" I said.
"Morning?" He replied, "What has you looking so cheery this morning?" he asks.
"Do I need a reason to be cheery, Sean?" I shoot back.
"Knowing you, yes." He tells me.
"fine, well I just am happy to see Miss Sorenson." I explained.
"Ooh, have a crush do we," he announced. He can be so annoying sometimes.
"As if you don't," I retort and I am saved since we arrived at school.
"Where is Sang," North comes up to me and demands.
"What do you mean, isn't she here yet?" I snapped.
"No, she isn't, I wouldn't be asking you if I knew, would I?" he bellowed.
"Calm down, don't stress out, I'm sure she will be here soon." I advise, except I am freaking out inside.
10 minutes later, she is still not here.
"Okay, here is what's happening, Mr Lee and Mr Griffin, go and find Marie, Miss Sorenson's sister and ask her where she is and report back." I instruct them.
"Okay," they reply and head off.
"Dr Green, call her mother,"
"On it," he responds.
"Mr Ravenstahl, both Mr Henshaws and Mr Korba, wait here and see if she arrives." I dictate, " the rest of you, come to my office to wait for further instructions."
We make our way to my office and wait for everyone to report back.
Kota and Nathan come in and report, "Marie says she doesn't know and doesn't care,"
"that's helpful, isn't it," I mutter.
Sean then comes in and says, "Nothing, no answer." I sigh.
"Right, Dr Green and Mr Taylor Jr, we are going to her house."
We drive quickly and knock on the door, no answer. Knock again, no answer.
"Just bust open the door," North orders. And I shove hard against the door, opening it.
We walk into the main living area and see the person who must be her mother, passed out on the couch. I hear running water coming from the bathroom. If Marie is at school and her mother is here, who is in the shower? I gesture at the others and they come over.
"Miss Sorenson," I call out. No response.
"We need to get in there, dammit," North growls. I bust the door open.
