If you were to ask me
What my biggest fear was,
Whether during an awkward
Phone call on a Friday night,
Or in a high school classroom,
You would receive the same answer:
Heights.
However, if you were to ask me
What kept me up at night;
What hidden terror guides
My every step,
I would say that it's the idea
That as I waste my time now,
I would waste any glimmer of potential;
The life I once could've had
Now gone forever.
