Julies POV
I go up to my room to get dressed for the gig. As always I look through my moms trunk of clothes she left me. Her trunk was filled with the cutest 90s clothes! And taped to the trunk was tickets from her bands concerts and stickers! Her band played the orpheum, TWICE! isn't that crazy?! I hope to be like her one day
I pick out a green/teal leather dress with sliver shorts under, I tie my hair up..but there's one problem my dad is downstairs and I don't want him to see my outfit or he'll ask to many questions. So I throw sweats and a sweatshirt over that
I say bye to my dad and Flynn picks me up to go to the cafe. The boys were already watching the other bands perform, everyone was so good, I was so nervous.
It's our turn.
"Welcome to the stage Julie and The...fat- ones?" The announcer yells
We all turn back at Luke "ya my handwriting is horrible". I chuckle at him as walk onto stage
"It's actually Julie and The Phantoms" no one responds
"ok"

I run off stage to go hug Flynn "you guys did amazing" she exclaims well the guys poof in behind me "yeah we did" Reggie says happily
"You guys! Someone that's looking really businessy is coming this way!" Luke says well we all turn around
"Hi I'm Candice from Diamond records, you did really amazing out there Julie, you and your whole band"
"Thank you so m-" I get cut off by my dad walking in
"Julie. It's time to go"
I go wide eyed and walk out with my dad

The whole car ride was soooo awkward we walk up to the door and my dad stops.
"Julie, where you performing? I come home thinking that nothing has changed and then Carlos tell me you've been out late at night in the studio PLAYING MUSIC or 'with Flynn', tell me the truth Julie, are you in a band?"
I turn around and make eye contact with him.
"Tell you the truth? Ok so if I tell you the truth when are YOU gonna start telling me the truth!"I tell back at him
"Julie what are you talking about?"
"You know what dad, never mind. Keep believing what you wanna believe and I will to"
I start walking away and he calls me back
"Julie! Just tell me, are you in a band? Just- I don't want you making the same mistakes I made."
"Ya dad i'am in a band, and trust me if we break up or anything happens I won't go and steal there songs and give them no credit, I'm not a loser"
He goes wide eyed and I walk away back to the studio. I kinda just called my dad a loser but- he needed to hear it.

I walk into the studio and all the guys are in weird positions
"You guys were listening weren't you?"
I say well sitting down on the sofa
"No, no not all...well just a tiny bit. At least you told him how you felt" Luke says as he sits next to me
"Ya even though it was a little much at the end" Reggie says and sits in the other side of me. I inhale sharply and just get ready for what will happen tomorrow.
