The next two days passed rather quickly. The two couldn't go out because of the stormy weather as it continued to snow and hail, which resulted in the two watching shows, taking care of plants and relaxing under the covers. Though today's weather seemed to clear off a little and being the active person she was, Harley was buzzing with excitement to go outside. Christmas is nearing too! She wanted to jump around in the snow and throw snowballs at little kids and laugh when they cry. Last Christmas wasn't a good experience as Harley was locked up in Arkham and had nobody to celebrate with. That was until her knight in shining armour... or should she say, her gorgeous green lady in leaf armour appeared at her cell, looking all high and majestic as she helped Harley escape from Arkham. Sad news, they didn't celebrate the holidays together. It was the night before Christmas and Harley had crawled out of bed in middle of the night, returning back to Mister Jay. He wasn't too happy about her sudden appearance, but hey, she was dating a complicated man, the very fact that he didn't hit her for appearing out of nowhere was a good sign. But... that also meant that Ivy wasn't very happy when she noticed the very morning that Harley was gone. The blonde cringed at the memory and looked outside the window again, her fingertips delicately stroking the large leaf of a nearby potted plant. The snow fell gracefully over naked branches of the trees, stripped from their leaves. She probably forgot to mention where Ivy lived. Well, let her explain as best as she could — Ivy no longer lived in her old toxic waste dump hideout and instead had moved into a more secured place. An abandoned garden, you could say. Except now the garden was overgrown just perfectly to make it seem like it came out of a beautiful fantasy book. Now everything was covered in big, clean sheets of snow. To say the least, the whole placed looked magestic. The building was not located in the heart of Gotham to not attract unwanted attention, but instead at an abandoned greenhouse just near where the kitty lived.
Speaking of the kitty... Harley should probably thank her for saving her ass that day and bringing Harley to Ivy where the woman nursed her back to health. She smiled, her hand falling by her side as Harley stepped away from the window and looked around for the redhead, wondering what she was up to.
To her surprise, red was still asleep. Stepping into her bedroom, she looked at all the plants. It seemed that everytime red was sleeping her plants would grow thicker around her to shield her away from any potential danger. Harley found it both cute and fascinating at the same time. The blonde stuck around for a little longer, even sitting at the edge of the bed and watching as the green woman slept.
Would you call this creepy? Because Harley didn't find this creepy at all. What was so wrong with admiring someone's beauty? Pamela Lillian Isley was breathtakingly beautiful and she didn't need glasses to see that. Her green skin was gorgeous... it fit her. Her thick, red hair was always so soft and well-taken care of. Ivy always took good care of herself. She took good care of the Harley. Unlike her puddin', red made her breakfast, she treated her wounds, she cuddled her in bed... she... she was different.
Her white hand reached out to Ivy's face, her knuckles delicately grazing the soft flesh of her cheek. Red's eyes opened up, lazily looking around the room before they landed on Harley sitting in front of her, smiling.
"Mmmph... morning, Daffodil." Ivy's voice was hoarse from her sleep, making a shiver run down Harley's spine. Damn.
"Hiya dandelioness." Harley responded softly, still caressing the plant hybrids cheek.
Her eyes were the hue of the new spring growth, bright and soft all at once. There were flecks of strength, of the kind of green that comes only as summer advances. Ivy's eyes reminded her of green fields during the summertime, where flowers bloom and birds sing a beautiful melody. Her eyes felt... safe. Looking into them, Harley knew that there was no madness in them. Yes, sometimes, Ivy's eyes showed how insane she could really be but right now, her eyes were gentle, kind and loving. Harley didn't notice until now that Ivy placed her green palm on Harley's thigh, her head still laying comfortably on the pillow all whilst gazing up in Harley's eyes. Harley wondered how red was feeling right now. Did she find her beautiful? Nowadays Harley had little confidence in herself because of how many times the Joker mistreated and abused her. She was aware how he treated her, but she always pushed the fact to the back of the mind. Where all of her distant memories were long forgotten, usually memories of her life as Harleen.
