"Did you succeed?" A voice asked

"Yes, boss. I've taken her captive already." A man replied to the crystal ball.

"Good. Bring her to the cottage. I'll arrive there in an hour."

'Finally....I can kill her now.'

A woman from the sidelines thought and grinned evilly.

"I clearly told you to bring her alive."

"She's not dead. She's just unconscious."

"I'm sure the boss will be happy to see this."

"Hey, don't forget I get half of your shares alright?"

'Hmm.'

I woke up hearing strange mumblings.

'Where am I?'

I can't see anything. From the looks of it, it seems like I was blindfolded.

'Ouch.'

I felt my hands and feet began to hurt. It looks like they were tied tightly. My mouth was tied up with cloth and I was in an uncomfortable positon.

I moved a little in order to feel a bit comfortable.

"Look, she's awake." A man said.

Suddenly, I heard the door slammed open and a man shouted.

"Hey! The boss has arrived!"

"Boss." They said in unison.

I only heard few steps coming towards me until....

Slap!

A burning sensation landed on my cheeks.

"Leave us alone." The person said.

'It's a woman. Her voice tells me it's a woman.'

When I heard many steps went outside, there was a moment of silence.

"Mmph!"

She grabbed my hair from the roots and started laughing.

'That hurts! Is this what the heroine experienced?'

"Puhahahaha! I never thought a day like this would come. What are your thoughts? Do you have anything to ask me?" She said.

"Right, let's take this off first."

She untied the cloth from my mouth and I gasped for air. "Haghh..*cough *cough. Heuk-"

"Now... any last words?" She asked.

'Her voice... it sounds different but I know I've heard it somewhere.'

Asking things like 'who are you' and 'why are you doing this' doesn't change anything. After all, what kind of kidnapper answers their victim truthfully?

"You're a noble." I said.

"Oh, so that's your last words? What a pity."

I bit my lip.

"I'll see you in the afterlife... Moriana." She whispered.

"Boss! There's a man who's massacring everyone outside! Please prioritize your safety first! Follow me!" A man shouted in a panicked manner.

"Tch. Fine. Let's go for now." She said

"We'll meet again Moriana."

I heard her call my name until everything was finally silent.
