A week already passed by ever since the party incident.
"Young miss."
"What?"
"Another letter was sent." Kelly handed me another letter.
These past few days, there's an anonymous person who kept sending me some letters with a quote in it.
"The reason why we are afraid of death is because we don't know when it will come."
Everyday, the same letter without a sender was always sent here.
I just ignored it everyday and continued my daily life.
"Young miss, I think we should tell your parents about this." Kelly said.
"It's alright Kelly. The person who sent it was probably bored." I said in a comforting tone.
But deep inside, it was also starting to freak me out.
I mean, who sends the same letter with the same content everyday?
"My lady." Justin interrupted.
"Yes?"
"A letter came from the Cornwall Estate."
'Oh, it's probably Shasha.'
"Give it to me."
Justin handed me the letter and I started reading.
Shasha invited me for another tea.
'This is the third time already.'
Shasha kept inviting me for tea ever since Sabrina's birthday.
She always comforted me whenever I visited her.
"Let's go Justin. We don't want Shasha to wait." I said.
"Yes, my lady."
"You just stay here Kelly. Please prepare me my other book by the time I go home."
"Yes, young miss."
At the Cornwall Estate.....
"Anna! I'm so glad you came again, come on in!" She welcomed us.
We took a seat on the sofa and the servant prepared the tea.
"So, how are you doing today?" She asked.
'Ah, that cute voice is really something.' I thought as I sipped my tea.
"...Actually, there's something I want to tell you."
"What is it?"
"Just this week recently, I received some letters."
"Oh my, is it some love letter? I knew it, there are so many pests out there." She said in a pouty voice.
"No no no, it's actually- here look at this." I said and handed her the letter.
"The reason why we are afraid of death is because we don't know when it will come." She read out loud.
"What kind of letter is this?! This is a threat! I should kill the bastard who sent this." The dignified lady suddenly became wild.
"It's alright Shasha." I chuckled.
"Really? What if they kept sending this?" She asked in a worried tone.
"Then I'll keep ignoring it." I sipped my tea once again.
"You should probably report this matter to the Justice Department. They'll help you." She said.
"Never mind the letter. Let's just have some fun shall we?" I smiled.
"Yeah! Come with me, I'll show you the roses. They finally bloomed after so many days."
She kept entertaining me and I had so much fun being with her.
..
"Take care Anna!" Shasha said while waving her hand.
We already rode the carriage towards home and I was somehow feelimg relieved no that I had some fun.
Suddenly, the carriage stopped.
"What's wrong Justin?"
"...It's the carriage of the crown prince."
'Hm?'
I got off from the carriage.
"Your highness?"
The crown prince was there.
"Hello Anna." He smiled.
"What are you doing here your highness?" I asked.
"I was about to go to you. Unfortunately, we missed each other and now, I encountered you. Isn't that interesting?" He said, not wiping off the smile from his face.
"Oh, I see. What did you need me for?"
"We should probably talk about this somewhere comfortable."
He was right. We were just standing and facing each other right now.
"Shall we?" He offered his hand.
"..Yes."
I rode in his carriage and we started talking.
"What is it your highness?"
"Leo." He corrected me.
'I forgot that he told me to drop off the formality when I talk to him.'
"...What is it? Le- Leo."
"It's about your kidnapper last time."
"??"
"I'm sorry to tell you but I couldn't find him anywhere. I apologize." He said.
"No...It's alright. I was just pobably unlucky that time. Haha..." I replied.
The carriage suddenly bumped and stopped.
"What's going on?" The prince asked his knight.
"It's an attack your highness!" He shouted.
"Stay here." He said to me.
He got off from the carriage leaving me behind.
"My lady, please don't go out no matter what happens." Justin said.
'What the hell is going on?!'
Inside the carriage, I heard metal clanging and grunts.
I couldn't stay still not knowing their whereabouts.
I got off from the carriage from the back and sneaked outside.
There was something strange.
There were assassins fighting them in the front but not in the back.
While glancing my eyes around, I saw and archer far from their current location.
His aim was the prince.
Or so I thought.
The archer shifted his attention to me and shot me directly.
He shot me at my left chest.
His shot was flawless.
One shot wasn't enough as he gave me another two shots then left afterwards.
"Euk-"
Blood then came out of my mouth.
"Anna!" Leo shouted.
Before I fell unconscious, I suddenly remembered the letter.
"The reason why we are afraid of death is because we don't know when it will come."
'I wonder who sent that?'
