"Is everyone here now?"

You ask for the last time, peeking your head into the van to begin the headcount again. Scanning the seats, you check off every member of the student council. Just as you were about to head in, you quickly remember a specific someone that still wasn't to be seen.

Heeseung, the vice president, speaks up.  "I don't think Ni-ki is here."

After hearing his findings, you shrug. "Well, if we are only missing one person then it's best to leave them behi—"

You suddenly feel a presence behind you. "Not very considerate of you, dear president." He feigns a hurt expression, sticking his tongue out before stepping foot into the van.

Taking a deep breath, your gaze follows his figure taking a place to the furthest seat. "Okay, now that the idiot is here, we are now complete. I think we can go now, yeah? Is anyone missing something?" Once the rest shake their heads, you heave a sigh of relief.

Seeing that the only available seat is beside the teen, you plop yourself to the furthest corner, making it your goal to avoid any physical contact as if the boy beside you was carrying a disease. The only problem being was, the seat at the back was the tiniest, and the only distance you could manage was sweeping your legs to the far corner, while you bump arms with the teen beside you.

The rest of the members keep talking with each other, and you even spot Jennie wink at you before turning back to the rest of the student council.

Sadist.

You take a quick look at the boy beside you, only to see his head already swaying from side to side. The sun today was reigning with such intense fervor, that from the corner of your eye you could see the boy squint because of its intense rays. Good for him.

This was the first time you witnessed him being peaceful. Not that he annoyed you any less. It was such a cramped space, yet he could still feel the luxury of drifting off to sleep.

You grudgingly lean forward to cover the window beside him, cutting off any streaks of sunlight seeping through. He stops moving around, finding peace.

Though you couldn't really deny it, you understood why many girls had an inkling of adoration towards the teen. When you were up this close, you really couldn't help yourself but stop and stare. His jawline was defined, almost as if it was sculpted by the very Gods that ruled the heavens. His lips, which were curved into a pout, were tinted light pink. Even his skin was as smooth as a porcelain doll.

You swallowed your pride for this one. He does look good. But only if he isn't running his mouth like an idiot.

His head starts to lean in your direction, slowly but surely finding its place by the crook of your neck. You feel your cheeks flare up at the closeness, almost as pink as the boy's lips you've seen up close earlier. Using your hand to push his head in the opposite direction, you huff at the sudden proximity.

After a few seconds of struggle, you feel a weight on your shoulder once again. Turning to the teen once more, your eyes land on his beauty mark.

You were bewitched, completely and utterly bewitched. As if he has cast a spell over you.

If you didn't hate him, if both of you weren't bumping heads all the time, could everything have possibly ended up differently?

Stop thinking about things that won't ever happen, [Y/N].

You kept trying to push his head away, but the more you did it, the boy beside you grew even more obstinate. It would be too much of a bother if you kept resisting, so you just let him do whatever he wanted.

Heeseung looks back, curious as to why the both of you were silent and gasps. "So that's why the both of you weren't bickering." He presses even further. "Aw cute, he's even leaning on your shoulder."

You reply with a zipping motion towards your lips. "Shut up. I can't get rid of him."

"Don't even try to deny it, babe. You are blushing." Jennie points out, laughing. You shoot her a murderous glare, then pushing the teen's head away from your shoulder. "Am not!"

Jungwon scoffs. "Sure, totally not."

"It's because of the heat!" You reasoned.

Jay joins the conversation, asking the driver to turn up the air conditioner so that "Our dear president won't faint from a heat stroke". You were completely in awe at how you can tolerate these people's shenanigans on a daily basis.

And there it was, once again. The familiar weight was back. No matter what you did, he would still land on your shoulder like it was the very center of gravity.

Nevermind, I still hate him.
