The ride home was honestly a peaceful one, not really any massive altercations between the both of you. Just the casual snarky remarks here and there, and it would just be left at that. For the rest of the ride, your gazes were focused on the sun slowly sinking to the west, taking in the breathtaking sight of the colors mixing with each other.

Everyone was silent, probably tired from going back and forth in the event.

The rest of you are dropped off at school, Jay waves a brief farewell, and the rest of you part ways. Since you and Ni-ki were on the same route, for the most part, he silently trudges behind you, not a single word spilling out from his pinkish lips.

Today was really silent, and you weren't used to it.

"Hey, Nishimura." You clear your throat, turning to face the boy who was behind you for the most part. He lifts his head to catch your gaze, tilting sideways.

"What?" He retorts, halting in his steps. You then point your finger towards his camera. "Delete it, right now."

He quickly understands what you're insinuating and just like normal — his lips morph into a smug smile. His eyes hold a playful glint in them, chuckling before he replies. "Now why would I? That's precious blackmail material, and I wouldn't ever pass up on that."

You sigh in exasperation. "Of course, you wouldn't do it. Your dumbass never listens does it?" In a way to catch him off guard, you deliberately lean in to snatch the camera from his neck, but he seems to already have understood your motive and quickly steps back.

"Sorry, I'm keeping this." Ni-ki retorts, sticking his tongue out before he runs away, disappearing from your view.

Ah, what was self-control again? You didn't know her. If you catch a glimpse of this boy tomorrow, you'd never hold yourself back.

Meanwhile, a fit of chuckle erupts from the teen's throat as he runs further away from you. And before he even realizes it, he reaches home.

A smile remains on his face even after he enters the house, beaming even. But after that, his trance wears off. His expression, which was once filled with a giddy smile, was now replaced with a confused one. With a quick slap on his cheek, he shakes his head at the previous thoughts he's just had.

What the actual fuck are you smiling about? Don't tell me you were smiling because you thought she was cu—

— shut up, shut up, you never thought of that and you never will.

He walks over to his room and lets his back abruptly fall onto his bed. A few seconds later, he hears the tiny footsteps of a cute creature. And as a way to distract his thoughts, he quickly grabs the fluffy pet and wraps his arms around its body.

At first, it was quite normal, he inches the dog closer to his nose, almost immediately being wafted by the smell of chocolate – which was definitely not normal, but he still chose to ignore its peculiarity nonetheless. The same thoughts which he has been in war with his mind arise once again, and he finds himself groaning.

"I don't like her. I don't like her." The teen mumbles to himself, and the dog tilts its head sideways in confusion. Ni-ki directs its hostile glare towards the creature in front of him, catching the pet further off guard. He rolls his eyes at the sight and releases a tiny laugh. "Bisco, I don't like her right? Right?"

The dog stays silent, yet within those tiny pearl eyes of his, he feels as if the dog he's currently holding is disagreeing with him – telling him 'No, I think you do like her.'

Ni-ki shakes his head, releasing a sound of disapproval. "Bisco, I knew you were stupid, but I didn't know that you were THIS stupid."

"Listen here buddy, I don't like her, okay? Stop telling me otherwise." He continues to blabber, leaving the poor puppy dazed and confused. Yet for the next twenty minutes, he continues his argument, stupidly arguing with a dog who doesn't even comprehend his current predicament.

His sister peeks her head in, then scoffs. "I thought you were talking to someone for twenty minutes – only to see you annoying Bisco, put the poor dog down, he's probably tired of your rambles."

"I'm just trying to give him a proper lecture not to disagree with me ever again." And his sister shakes her head and turns away in sheer hopelessness.

Needless to say, another one-sided conversation ensues, and the poor dog is left confused. The teen finally lets him go and the dog runs away, not wanting to be picked up by the same hands again.

Ni-ki grabs his camera and starts to transfer the pictures that he has taken that day, but from all the pictures that he got, the majority of it seemed to consist of mainly you.

"Idiot." And this time, he seems to be directing it at himself.
