She was in the Spirit World near one of the entrances into the Human World, waiting on one of her Spirit friends to join her. They had planned to chat today, but she wasn't sure if the lady would make it since she had other duties to attend to. She hoped that they would be able to talk because she loved talking with this Spirit. This Spirit was nice and cared about the humans as she did. It made sense that they had become friends.

She glanced around the small area she was in, a happy sigh escaping her lips. She saw the Painted Lady strolling toward her, the huge brimmed hat covering most of her pretty face. The Painted Lady tugged the hat off, letting her dark hair spilling around her shoulders. There was something so elegant about the Painted Lady that made her feel so insignificant.

The Painted Lady slowed to a stop in front of her, the slight fog swirling around her feet. A beautiful smile was on her face. "It's so nice to see you, dear," the Painted Lady said, drawing her into a hug. "How have you been lately?"

"I've been fine," she said, sitting down on one of the many big flowers that were in this area of the Spirit World. The Painted Lady sat down next to her, letting out her sigh. "How have things been for you? Have you helped more people?"

"Always," the Painted Lady said. "It seems like more and more people need our help, doesn't it?"

"They decide to walk down the path of hate," she said with a shrug. "When they do that, they need more of our help than they would have if they listened to love."

"That's true." The Painted Lady nodded. Her dark hair swished over her thin shoulder. "That's very true."

"I've been trying to get them to see that love is the only way to live, but they haven't been listening to me lately."

"They haven't been listening to me, either."

"It's like they think that they can live without us." She shook her head. "They can't. We are the ones who created them."

"They don't realize that."

"No, they don't."

It felt good to get that off of her chest. She had been deeply hurt that not as many people prayed to her anymore. She loved helping people, but the humans down there acted like they didn't need help. They would always need help, though. It was a given that humans messed up a lot and needed help through difficult times. But they thought they could do it on their own instead of asking the Spirits for help.

"I better get going," the Painted Lady said, standing up from the flower. "I shouldn't leave my humans unattended for a long period."

"Good idea." She stood up, too, and gave the Painted Lady a quick hug. "Thanks for talking with me. I hope to see you soon!"

"Me, too."

Now that she was alone again, she glanced at the Sun. She wasn't sure what she was expecting to see, but she wasn't expecting Agni to not be there. Where had he gone? He usually spent most of his time near the Sun just like she spent most of her time near the Moon. Yet he was gone. Maybe he had something important to do in the Human World. Or maybe he was doing something in the Spirit World. She wasn't sure.

"Haven't you heard the announcement?"

She glanced to the side and saw Lady Tienhai. The two of them had barely ever spoken to each other before, but she still knew who it was. "What announcement?" she asked her with a frown.

"Raava is calling all Spirits to the base of the Hai-Riyo peak for a meeting," Lady Tienhai clarified. "Every Spirit must attend."

"Are you sure?"
