Chaos had come upon the Spirits and the humans alike. It was a force like no other. It had crept into the hearts of the people and Spirits, allowing them to live out their darkest desires. More murders had been happening in these past few years than throughout all of human history. More and more nonbending humans were rioting against the unfair treatment that the benders gave them. More Spirits were causing havoc in the Spirit World.

Everything horrible had exploded, catching every human, Spirit, and creature in the blast. The aftereffects of the blast were showing up as chaos and hate and anger in everyone. It seemed like no one could get along anymore and no one trusted anyone anymore. The humans didn't even trust the Spirits now. It didn't matter much; the Spirits didn't love the humans as they should. They were too focused on themselves to even notice how the humans were following suit with anger and hate.

The humans were picking up on the hate coursing through the Spirit World. Even if they hated the Spirits now, they still could sense what the Spirits were feeling. And since they were sensing the unbalanced Spirit World, they slowly became unbalanced themselves. Now that both of the Worlds were unbalanced, everything was not right with the Spirits and humans.

Was this what Raava wanted? Was this the way things were going to end? It wasn't right; she thought that the World would end with peace and love, not war and hate. Even if she believed what Agni had said so long ago, it was still surprising to see how things had turned out. She was disappointed in the Spirits for letting the humans down, and she was disappointed in the humans for not doing better than the Spirits.

But there was nothing her disappointment could do to make things right. She wasn't strong enough to knock some sense in the Spirits and humans. She wasn't even strong enough to make herself more hopeful, more filled with love. There was nothing that she could do to make anything better, no matter how hard she tried, and that made her feel awful -- worse than before.

She hadn't ever felt this way before, even when she was Yue. When she was Yue, she felt an array of emotions: anger, sadness, happiness, and love. None of those emotions prepared her for what she felt now, but she couldn't describe how she was feeling. There was a deep sadness in her bones, but she was also angry at her people for not believing in love. She was mad at herself. too, for giving up on her people and for giving up on love. What was the point, though? If things were going to end, let them end badly.

She knew she couldn't do that, though. She had to fight for what was right. She had to fight for love. Even if no one listened to her, she would scream until she had no voice, advocating for love and peace, and light. No one else would do it with her, so she had to do it herself. What better way to fight for love than to work by yourself? It was the only way she could do it, though. She didn't trust any of the other Spirits to help her, not anymore.

The area she was in right now in the Spirit World was one she hadn't ever been in before. It was dark and dreary there, matching her feelings exactly. Dew hung on the tree leaves like little tears clinging to eyelashes. Her fingers trailed against the bark of the trees as her mind raced. She was wandering around the Spirit World, trying to figure out how to get people to love again. The only way to get her mind working was to walk and walk and walk until an idea sprung into her head. So far, nothing had come to her yet.

She knew not to wander far, though. It was risky to even leave the Moon during this period of uneasiness. Most of the Spirits had joined in on the riots, and they were plunging the Spirit World into darkness by choosing hate over love. That was why she stuck to the outskirts of the Spirit World, where no one else went. She would be much safer that way if she kept to herself and didn't make anyone mad.

The scenery around her started morphing into something more lively. She began to understand where she was at. Brighter colors graced her vision, as well as a soft light that guided her path. Whoever lived around this area still held onto love and hope, she knew it. They hadn't been tainted by the darkness yet, leaving the area around her lush and green and bright and full of love.
