Chapter 12

3rd POV

The hashira was in a meeting when the news came to them.  Kagaya Ubuyashiki's words were cut off by a loud Kasugai crow's yelling,

"Saisho Ketsueki, the former blood pillar, has been killed by Upper moon one!"

All the hashira froze at the words of the crow while Ubuyashiki frowned sadly.  The crow landed on Ubuyashiki's hand when he lifted it to allow it to rest.

"Say, is her student still well?"

The hashira was confused at this, when did she get a student? Will said student be coming here? Many questions flew through their heads about Saisho's student,

"Hai, Tsugikuni-san was not at the blood estate when it happened,  but she is there now!"

The hashira was shocked at her last name, which meant that she was related to Tokito and the first person to use breathing techniques.

Ubuyashiki nodded sadly, he knew very well who (Y/N) was and what she was.  But she was to be in the final selection in about a year so she would be his swordswoman soon.  He was silently grieving over Saisho's death but he had to make sure that (Y/N) was safe before nightfall came.  If uppermoon one saw her in the sun then Kibutsuji will no doubt come for her.

"My hashira, I must inform you about something about Saisho's student."

The hashira instantly paid attention to his words,  other than being incredibly curious they respected Ubuyashiki too much to ignore him.

"This may come as a shock but Saisho's student," He was mentally praying that his hashira wouldn't freak out at what (Y/N) was, "Is a demon."

It was silent for a few seconds before the hashira finally spoke, well more like yelled,

"WHAT!"

"Oyakata-sama with all due respect why is a literal demon training to be a demon slayer!"

They voiced their opinions about the situation very loudly, minus Mitsuri, Giyu, and Tokito, they stopped as soon as Ubuyashiki put his finger to his lips in a silencing motion,

"(Y/N)-chan is becoming a slayer to avenge her family and due to her immunity to the sun."

For the second time today, the hashira freaked out again.  Ubuyashiki let out a sigh as he once again silenced them and gestured for his daughter on his right side to read something in her hands,

"This is a letter from Saisho-sama from when she first found Tsugikuni-san, I shall read you the abridged of the letter as well as the most recent update about her,"

"I ask of you to allow (Y/N) (L/N) to join the demon slayer corps despite being a demon herself.  Due to currently unknown reasons, she is immune to the sun and has no urge towards human blood in the slightest bit.  She is capable of restoring her energy by normal human means such as food and sleep."

"And the most recent update about her,"

"I have found out that she is immune to the sun due to her physical adaptability.  When she was transformed into a demon Muzan Kibustuji used a significant amount of his blood on her and rather than rejecting it her body mixed the demon and human blood and her body now automatically produces demon and human blood comparable to Kibutsuji."

"There was also an extra statement about something she was planning on doing when the uppermoon came for her,"

"When uppermoon one comes I am planning to take his blood and convince (Y/N) to inject that into her bloodstream as well, I have theorized that gaining his blood would give her more strength and possibly his memories and fighting technique."
