"𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐄!""This feels amazing!" She spun around.
"Persephone." Jimin called again.
"Yes, Jimin?!" She ran across the grassy field towards him. "How does it feel to finally be out of your prison?"
"It feels amazing!" She threw her arms out and smiled widely at the sun. "It's so beautiful!"
"I've never seen her so happy," Seokjin whispered to Namjoon. "Maybe we should do this more often." He couldn't help but be mesmerized by her bright smile and how much joy she received from the smallest things like walking through a grassy field.
"This is only a one time thing," Namjoon reassured.
"Watch your step." Yoongi warned from close by as she loved towards a small pile of animal dung. She grimaced as she stepped around it.
"Thank you. That only would have ended badly."
"Oh! Maybe we should get you some shoes!" Taehyung exclaimed happily as the idea came to mind.
"I don't wear shoes because I'm always in the garden. I have no real reason to wear them. If my mother sees them on my feet she's going to know that something is up." She explained. "I think I'll just watch my step for now."
"Oh," his deep voice trailed off. "Can I still get them for you?"
"Why?" She chuckled lightly.
"I just want to give you something that would remind you of me."
"Aw, how sweet."
"Ah, it's a bit hot, isn't it?" Jimin pulled his collar from his neck to let out all of the hot air trapped in his shirt. "Hoseok, do you mind bringing out some clouds or some wind?"
"No, it has to be warm. Persephone loves the warm weather and she has a right to the weather because it's her birthday." Hoseok said matter of factly.
"Thank you, Hoseok." The sun felt great on her skin right then. Her dark skin soaked up the sun rays. "I love the weather so much. Thank you all for doing this for me."
She ran ahead and twirled a few more times. "Hey look everyone!" She exclaimed once she was done twirling. "Watch me do a cartwheel!" She easily did a cartwheel plus one more and landed on her butt.
She laughed it off and continued to run until they were so far away that their voices were faint in her ears. She stopped to pluck the grass out of her hair and brush off her pastel pink dress.
She heard Namjoon shouting at her to get her attention but his words were incomprehensible.
"What? What did you say?" She yelled back. "I can't hear you because you're so tiny!" She giggled as she held up her index and thumb to her eye.
She turned around to see a frighteningly familiar face. A look of pure shock engulfed her face as a smirk resided on his.
"It's nice to see you again, sweetheart."
"Wha-- What do you want?" She took a few tiny steps back. But, it was already too late. She was too far away from the garden to turn back now and her friends were too far away to help. Her heart pounded in her chest as she feared what he would do next.
"You, of course." He answered.
Her words jammed in her throat and her heart sank. "Now," he stepped closer to her as she backed away. "Don't try to fight me."
He swept her up and in a flash he was gone along with her.
"Persephone!" Jimin had finally caught up but was too late.
The rest of them were just a few moments late and there was only Jimin who stood there looking defeated.
They all knew they were too late.
"No!" Jimin fell to his knees and sobbed. "She's gone."
