Chapter 2

"And you must be the woman who's been screwing my husband" she said pointing at me

I looked at Derek and back at her. He didn't say anything. I felt humiliated. I left immediately

"Meredith" he said and I kept going

I went to Joe's bar which was across the street. I wasn't on call, so I was able to drink. All the interns were there. I sat next to Cristina and George. I took a shot of tequila.

"So something terrible happened to me" I said

"I bet mines worse" she said

"Dereks married" I said

George spit his beer

"Ew" Cristina said

George left

"I'm pregnant" she said

I looked at her shocked

"I win" she said

"What. Who. Huh" I said to her and we heard a loud noise

We turned around and Joe was passed out on the floor. We called the hospital and they came over. They put Joe on the gurney and they brought Joe to the hospital. Izzie, Cristina, and George came with. We were at the nurses station

"What's wrong with her" Izzie said

"Mcdreamys mcmarried" George said

Derek came to us

"So I will be doing a stand still surgery" he said holding the chart to me

"I'm drunk" I said walking away

I scoffed

"Mer. Meredith" he said walking to me

I didn't turn around. I kept walking and heard him running. I felt him grab my arm.

"Derek let go" I said

"No hear me out" he said pulling me away.

We made our way into an on call room. He shut the door and had his back to it, so I couldn't leave

"Meredith listen to me" he said as I reached for the door knob

"What" I scoffed looking into his eyes

Those eyes. The ones that made me fall in love with him all over again. I could never stop looking.

"I love you" he said smiling

"What" I questioned

"I signed the divorce papers. All I want is you and only you. Mer you mean something to me. You are my happy place" he said sincerely

"How am I supposed to believe you" I questioned.

"Because I will always choose you. I didn't realize what life was until I was with you. You've literally changed my world" he said

I pushed him out of the way to the door.

"What if you find another woman like me. Then what" I questioned

He didn't say anything

"That's what I thought" I scoffed opening the door

I left the room.

I went back to my car and drove home knowing that I was in fact not drunk at all. I walked in and went straight to the shower. I finished my shower and got out. I dried off and brushed my teeth. I put a pair of panties on and one of Dereks t shirts because it was long and comfy. I loved the smell of him. I got into bed and went under the covers. I ended up falling asleep and heard a knock on the bedroom door.
