Things were honestly moving so fast it felt like I was going to get whiplash. Gluttony was probably the best chef in the world.  The guy could cook like no other. I scarfed down three plates of pasta, and I was stuffed. It had only been a couple hours since I'd arrived at the house but somehow it already felt like home. I went upstairs to my room and laid down on my bed. As soon as I took a breath, there was a knock on the door. It was short but rather loud, like a quick hit on a snare drum. "One minute." I said. I went to the front door and opened it. There was a lady there. She looked at me with a smile that seemed polite, but forced, like one of those people on a billboard ad for a real estate agent. Before I could even say hello, she said "You know, you aren't allowed to have more than one care on a driveway this size, it's very unsafe, our children could get hurt." I hadn't even noticed until now, there was an older SUV parked in the driveway to the house. It had just enough room for eight people, and had a scratch on just about every surface. "Sorry ma'am I'll move mine into the garage." She glared at me as if that wasn't enough. "I don't think I caught your name." She said coldly. "Michael." She gave a slight frown, like she was above my level. "I'm Faith. I'm head of the PTA, The Church's Women's group, and coach for the youth soccer team." I wondered why the hell she was telling me all of this. Was I supposed to be impressed? "Um, ok cool, do you need anything else?" She sighed. "Not at the moment. I'll be seeing you around." She walked away. Claire was right she was indeed a prick. As rude as she was she carried herself with such confidence, it was a little intimidating. Claire's car pulled back into her driveway. Come to think of it, when she had left she had stepped out from the house. She obviously knew about the ghosts, but was she close with them? She got out of her car but someone else was with her. A slightly shorter, longer haired looking girl, with sweatpants, and a hoodie. Claire looked at me. "You been standing there all day Michael?." I laughed nervously, "No, just met Faith. She's... something." Claire looked like she had a bad taste in her mouth. "Faith is the absolute worst. Always acts all holier than thou. She threw a temper tantrum when I brought Elizabeth over here." She was homophobic too? She just kept checking all of the boxes for reasons I hate people. Claire grabbed Elizabeth's hand and they walked inside her house. They seemed actually happy to be with each other, unlike a lot of other couples I had seen. "I want what they have" I said under my breath.
