CASE #011

“No…” Seijuurou whispered to himself and clenched his fists. “You’re lying. Mikage… tell me this is not true.”

Mikage kept quiet as he stared into nothing, just sitting at the couch, covering his ears and curling himself into a ball. The room was silent for a whole five minutes until Chief stood from his chair and cleared his throat.

“Heiwayuki may not be dead,” he said. Both Mikage and Seijuurou looked up at him. “Not until we found her.”

“But the curse is… here with me again.” Seijuurou spoke.

Chief looked away. “It’s not impossible, right? For her to be alive, still?”

“The truth is, we all just can’t accept the fact, no?” Mikage said softly.

Seijuurou stood up from his spot, heading towards the door. “I’m doing it, Chief. Forbidden or not forbidden, like hell I care. In any case, I’m doing it right now.” He told them and got out.

Mikage ran his hands through his hair. “I’m helping him. As he said; forbidden or not, like hell I care.” He said and ran out. Chief sighed in defeat.

Akashi Seijuurou kicked the door labeled ‘NO TRESSPASSING INCLUDING OFFICERS’ open and headed in. A somewhat like a hospital bed stood in the middle of the room, under a single half-flickering lamp. 8 straps were seen on either side of the bed and beside the table stood a shelf with two rows of books and the other rows were filled with chemicals that no one knows.

Seijuurou went to the shelf and picked a book entitled ‘COMMUNICATIONS’. He checked the index before flipping through to his desired page. Mikage came in. “Let me help you with that.” He said. Chief appeared too and pulled Seijuurou to the bed.

“Lie down,” Chief instructed and Seijuurou obliged. “Mikage had done this before with Yukio. So he might as well tell you everything he knows during the process.”

Seijuurou nodded as Chief strapped his body to the bed, not leaving a single limb free. “If I go, I’m sorry Chief. But if I succeed, I will receive any punishments.” He said.

“Sure. If you don’t come back, I’ll make sure to kick you ass.” Chief smiled.

    Seijuurou chuckled.

“Nöstrhuez Noäflü Grievsedio,” Mikage went close to Seijuurou and chanted. “I am, Mamura Mikage of Kyoto Supernatural Division with registration number 800134247, guiding mortal Akashi Seijuurou of Kyoto Supernatural Division with registration number 433875672. We are seeking for permission to bring him. He’s in need to communicate with souls and bring one’s certain soul back. Tcesx Wëirs Ühnaáñ.”

Another moment of silence and then a blinding light surrounded them. It was like an explosion. Mikage and Chief staggered out of place but managed to hold onto something before they could fall. Then they heard a cry. It was Seijuurou. He was in utmost agony, struggling in his place, trying to get away.

Mikage tried to steady his breath before continue chanting, while Chief went to Seijuurou and held his limbs. “Yüetro Casrëj Freïden Lischë. Xepr Teud Sxucia,” a gust of wind hit all three of them but Mikage merely winced and supported himself against the wall. “Vreëi Feux—“

    “Mikage.”

He gasped and looked up. There stood a beautiful woman around Mikage’s age, with blonde hair cascading down her back. Her smile was so innocent; Mikage can’t help but stopped chanting.
