"Bye (Y/N). Have a good weekend." Your coworker called out to you as you left for the day.

"Yeah you too." You hopped into your car and started it up. Instead of going home you made your way to the bar, where you'd be meeting Ace and his friend.

You pulled into the parking lot which was pretty empty. It was 5:30pm still a little early in the day for some people to be drinking. But since it was a Friday you were sure it would be packed in no time.

You stepped through the front door, scanning the place for Ace. You spotted him sitting in a booth, a beautiful girl with flowing blue hair sat right next to him.

The sight of them smiling at each other irked you to say the least. No worry was more like the right word.

Relax. They're just friends.
Ace won't leave me for her.
Right?
.
.
.
Gah! Stop worrying yourself over something so stupid.

In the past you would have just walked out and found someone else to spend the night with. But you weren't like that anymore. You loved Ace and you weren't going to let what happened to your parents relationship happen to you.

You inhaled a deep breath of air, exhaling it slowly as you walked over to Ace's table.

"Babe, you're here." Ace smiled at you, he stayed sitting his friend peeking over his shoulder to stare up at you.

These two are sitting rather close to one another.

"I did say I was coming." You said stiffly as you sat across from them.

"Oh, here let me move. You two probably want to sit next to each other." Ace's friend went to stand but you just waved your hand at her to stay seated.

"It's fine." You quickly replied. Ace quirked a brow at your odd behavior while his friend sheepishly smiled at you.

"(Y/N) this is Vivi, Vivi this is (Y/N)." Ace introduced the two of you although you made no move to say anything back.

"It's nice to meet you (Y/N). Ace has told me all about you." Vivi beamed over at you.

Funny, I've heard nothing about you.

"Nice to meet you too." You courtly replied, you tried be polite despite your negative thoughts.

Ace was picking up on your foul mood and decided to deal with it.

"Excuse us Vivi, I need to talk to my girlfriend for a second." Ace stood up he placed his hand on your elbow and gently pulled you out of your seat.

You silently followed the male until you two were outside.

"Are you okay? Did you have a bad day at work or something? You're not usually this rude to people." Ace asked as soon as the door was closed, his brown eyes full of worry thinking that you might be sick or that a coworker was rude to you.

"I'm fine." You turned your head not wanting to look at his worried eyes. It made you feel guilty that you were making the boy feel this way. You just couldn't stop the bad thoughts that were entering your mind.

"Clearly your not. So just tell me what's wrong, so I can make you feel better." Ace said, his kind words making you feel better. But still your mouth decided to betray you.

"Do you like her?" You decided to blurt out. The quicker you got this off your chest the better you'd feel.

"Like who? Vivi- what? No. She's just a friend. I love you, silly." Ace planted a kiss on your forehead. Your cheeks warming at his affection. Still your brain wouldn't let you stop from firing more questions.

"Then why does she know so much about me? How much time do you spend with her Ace?"

"What? What are you talking about? We go to school together, we have some of the same classes. Of course I'm gonna talk to her." Ace defended himself, all of which were good answers. Answers that would satisfy anyone, but not you for some reason.

"You take classes with like 50 other students and you just hand to talk to her." You were starting to raise your voice, this was not what you wanted to do.

I need to leave before I say something I don't mean.

You moved to walk around Ace and head to your car.

"Where are you going?" Ace grabbed onto your arm stopping you in your movements.

"Home." Was your simple reply, you wiggled your arm out of Ace's grasp and continued to make your way to your car.

"Okay. I'll tell Vivi we're leaving." Ace turned to head back into the bar. He would tell Vivi you weren't feeling well, then take care of you for the rest of the night.

"No, Ace... I'm going home by myself." You words felt hollow leaving your lips, you didn't want to be alone, but you also knew you needed to calm down.

"Wait... (Y/N), wait!" Ace turned around and sprinted over to you, stopping you from opening your car door. His arms went around your waist pulling your back to his chest. You could feel him shaking as he held onto you.

"Please, (Y/N). Tell me what's wrong? What did I do? I'll fix it, I promise." Ace sniffled into your neck. You turned around in his arms, your hands reaching up to cup his face.

"Ace you didn't do anything... I'm frustrated with myself." You wiped his tears away from his face. His hands cupped yours, leaning into your touch.

"Then let me come home with you." Ace pleaded his hands holding yours tighter. You couldn't stand to see your happy, out-going lover so sad and distraught.

I'm upset with myself and I end making this cutie sad. What is wrong with me?

"Okay." You mumbled leaning up to peck his lips. "And stop crying it doesn't suit you."

Ace let out a small chuckle his hands reaching up to wipe the remaining tears from his face.

"It doesn't suit you either." Ace leaned in closer, his lips pressing against yours while his fingers gently brushed away your tears. You indulged in the lip lock some more, only pulling apart so Ace could tell Vivi you two were leaving.

You got into your car to wait for your boyfriend, a small smile gracing your lips.

Honestly how did I get so lucky?
