After eating an unhealthy amount of take-out food, you and your friends started putting together the furniture for your room. Ace and his brothers would be back tomorrow to help with the rest of the stuff.

"Did you really need such a big bed?" Zoro groaned as he yelled the heavy oak head board for you new bed while Thatch screwed in the sides.

"It goes with the house." You simply stated, you and Nami were currently putting your clothes into your new dresser and the closet with the hangers you got.

"OooOOoo this is cute!" Nami squeled as she held up a red bralette of yours. The fabric of it was sheer with intricate lace roses covering it, Nami dug through your bag finding the panties that went with it. "This is a nice set. Where'd you get it?"

"I'm pretty sure an old fling got those for me," you hummed as you tried to remember just where you got the underwear from.

"Then why do you still have them?" Ace questioned you, his brow were furrowed and his eyes held a slight glare to them.

"They're comfortable and I look good in them." You stated matter of factly, you took the underwear from Nami and stuffed them into your dresser. Behind you, Sanji had a massive blush on his cheeks along with a nosebleed. Zoro had a slight blush to his cheeks before he turned back to help Thatch. Marco and Sabo just chose to ignore the whole conversation. Luffy was laughing because he found the whole thing funny even though he didn't know what was going on, while Usopp was trying to quiet him down.

Ace was looking at you a little dazed and shocked by your reply. His freckles were starting to show more as a hot red blush started to sprout on his cheeks.

"You're turning into a strawberry." You pinched his cheek to emphasize your point.

"Am not!" Ace half heartedly slapped your hand away.

After that everybody got back to work, well except for Ace whose mind was full of images of you in the red lingerie.

~Le Time Skip ~

At the Newgate residence

"So you and (Y/N)?" Thatch wiggled his eyebrows suggestively at his little brother.

"It's not like that." Ace defended a little to quickly causing his brothers to laugh at them.

"Sure because you were ogling her the whole time yoi." Marco smirked, he reached into the fridge and pulled out a beer ready to relax after a long days work.

"Especially after you saw that red lingerie of hers." Sabo commented, the sweet blond decided to tease his freckled brother as well.

"It's not like that." Ace sighed, he was starting to look a little distraught at this point. He wasn't sure if he should tell his brothers about what happened last night. He didn't want to make you or his brothers angry.

"Wait did something happen?" Thatch was now leaning forward on the island very curious about the situation between you and his little brother.

"W-well I told her I like her-"

"That's great yoi." Marco smiled at his brother but one look at Ace's face and he could tell something was wrong. "Did she reject you?"

Thatch and Sabo tensed at this waiting for their brother's answer. Wondering if they'd have to rain hell down on you.

"Not exactly... she said she's not into relationships j-just sex." Ace mumbled out.

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that." Sabo gave his brother a pat on the shoulder.

"So I convinced her to give me till the end of the summer." Ace said he felt like just letting his brothers know at this point. "If I can't make her like me the way I like her by the end of the summer then.... I'll get it and just move on."

"Are you sure about that? It sounds like your setting yourself up for heartbreak  yoi." Marco pointed out.

"Yeah and if she doesn't end up liking you then we can't exactly be mad at (Y/N) because she did warn you." Thatch huffed out

"I'm sure about this." Ace nodded, his eyes full of determination.

"Well alright then. I'll be cheering for you." Sabo smiled at Ace.
