Where all the forsaken colors scintillate.
Where one is freed of scrutinizing eyes,
Without the everlasting choice of a mistake.
Take me to the world of paradise,
Where I won't ever be just a problem to solve.
Where each story doesn't end with an unfortunate demise,
Or how only the main character gets to evolve.
Take me to the world of paradise,
Where love wouldn't just be a retreating visitor.
Where life wouldn't be chastised,
Or be in the succumbing hands of a manipulator.
Take me to the Elysian Fields,
Where my feelings wouldn't be one to demote.
Where I would be in one of your centerfolds,
And wouldn't relay in just forgotten footnotes.
Remember me when times get rough,
I'll be in the Elysian Fields,
Where I will be hoping my love is enough,
Taken by the sway of these golden weeds.
