four: taking a tour

agent 8 (AKA Elana)POV

I couldn't help but be excited! although I've spent enough time in inkpolis to have a mild grasp on the area, I definitely needed some help...

"well, since we're in the square, I guess we should start there," said (y/n). the tour started with the studio off the hooked worked at, one of my first friends! I give them a warm, small smile and a wave, they noticed and wave back with wide grins.

I guess (y/n) noticed my face because they then asked:

"you really like off the hook uh?" a bit of childish joy rose up, wanting to scream

"YES!!!!" into (y/n)'s ear but I resist the urge and give a calm response instead.

"of course! they're my favourite band! I discovered their music when, when, I...moved here" (y/n) gave a humble nod, barely noticing that I hesitated for a second. I almost said when they helped come to the surface. I mustn't let (y/n) know the truth! what would even happen if they knew? would they hate me? to find out that I was nothing more of a soldier with zero autonomy that mindlessly killed any inkling I saw? only to the hurled into a train station that tried to kill me? if (y/n) knew all that then they- they-

"are you okay?" I snap back to reality, (y/n) was gesturing to the Grizz co. entrance. I must have missed some of the tour among mist my panic.

"Yeah, I'm fine" I blatantly lie.

we continue as if nothing happened, I only half pay attention since as my mind wanders again, not to despair this time, but something more happier, like how cute (y/n) is.

"w-wait! did I just say cute!?" I think to my self, "(y/n) isn't cute! well, they are, and their kindness towards you is really something you can't not love-"

ARGH! STOP. IT. you just met them! you're barely friends! you know nothing about them! but you can't help to fall in love...

"and now the square the finished, we'll move on to the plaza!" oh, it's (y/n), you need to get a hold of yourself! you're not normally like this! fortunately, the I've been to the square so many you didn't really need a tour but the plaza is a whole different story.

maybe you'll be more focussed there.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the story in agent 8's eyes! I know the tour was pretty much rushed but I wanted to use this chapter to really get into 8's head. also, I'm planning to have an actual plot established soon, you'll meet 3 in the next chapter.
