YOUR POV

you lay in bed, you're on your laptop watching splatube when y*ou a text message on your phone.

Elana<3: hi (y/n)!

you: hi Ellie!

elana<3: I just wanted to know, are you available tonight?

you: yeah, why?

elana<3: I want to meet someone!

You: really

you: who?

elana<3: Hailey! She's my bf!

you: sure!

you: when & where?

elana<3: does 6:00 PM @my place sound good?

you: yeah! See you!

you: bai

Elana<3:bye!

you felt a little excited, you've been friends with her for a while now, she really likes to talk about her "best friend" who was apparently one of the first people she met when she came here. You wonder what they'll be like, maybe they're as shy and goofy as Ellie, or maybe they'll turn out to be the complete opposite? guess you'll have wait till' tomorrow, it's already pretty late, you go to bed, feeling content.

AGENT 8 (AKA ELANA) POV

Hailey sat in the chair that was the closest to the door in the living room, she looks around as if this was her first time here.

"soooo, you want to meet this...(y/n)?" she asks, confused, the ways she says it makes it seem as if she doesn't believe me for some reason.

"yeah," I simply replied.

"Okay...is there any reason why?"

"mmm..." I pause to think for a second, my eyes shoot to the left, I shrugged and replied with "not really, I just think they're a great person!" with an innocent smile at the end

"what? are you in love with them?" she teased she borrowed her eyes and got closer to me, now standing up, grinning. I know I she means it as a joke but I flinch as if she accused me of a horrendous crime.

"w-what!? are you kidding no way!" I say as I desperately try to hide my embarrassment through anger.

she leans back, hands in the air, "ok, ok I get it, no need to get so defensive about it" she says in shock (albeit, in the form of sarcasm)

"wait, you're not actually in love, are yo-"

"NO!"

"...okay, whatever say say" she rolls her eyes at me.

"but before I meet (y/n) or whatever their name is, you didn't tell them about squid beak, have you/"

my face turns into something of a smirk "of course not! what, are you afraid that they know your agent 3?"

"...kinda" her eyes refuse to meet mine with a blank on her face.

"by the way, thanks for inviting me over to your place tonight,"

I smile, I know that she can come off as emotionless sometimes but I guarantee you, she really does care.

"you're welcome!" I say as cheerfully as a came with a bright smile.

as she leaves, I catch myself yawning, I should go to bed...
