((A/N:
Magda here (heh, that should be obvious by now)
I got the best news since a god damn long time... Carmen is finally BACK *yay* which means that we are officially active again!
My partner is officially working on a completely new, amazing fic that brought me to tears when I read through it, so make sure that you won't miss this!))
Jack's POV:
Damn, he's crying, well done, Jack, well done. I look at him and put my arm around his shoulders. "Oh please, don't cry..." I say quietly. "Thank you..." he whispers again without even looking up at me. "No need to be thankful, you hear me, it's okay"
Eventually, Alex calmed down and we started to talk a bout a few different things such as school, friends and family. "Oh, you play guitar...?", Alex asked all out of a sudden. Oh, I guess my music instrument next to my bed grabbed his attention. "Yeah, a little...", I say with a shy smile. "Oh I also play guitar!" I laugh silently. Finally there's something we really can talk about. Music alwas had been a big part of my life and I'm happy that Alex apparently feels the same way.
I pick up my guitar and sit down on the bed. Then I start playing the first chords of Yesterday by the Beatles. Alexander smiles. I assume he likes that song, so I continue playing, carefully not to make a mistake. After I've finished, Alex claps "Wow that was good! Can I play too?" I give him the guitar and he starts playing. It takes me a few seconds before I know what song he's playing, and then I recognize it as Adam's Song by Blink182. Alex is really talented. I watch him and cheer when he finishes.
Half an hour later, we've decided to leave my place and go outside. There are still many places that my new friend doesn't know, so I decided to show him a little around the town.
Alex' POV:
As we're walking down the street, I think of something to say to make this whole thing less awkward. The conversation died out again some minutes ago and it feels like everything's covered with painful silence. Just as I wanted to say something, someone behind us calls out Jack's name. We turn around, and there's that girl from school whom I suppose to be Jack's girlfriend. "Hey Christina!", Jack says. They talk for a minute and then she says she has to go home. Eventually she turned around the corner and is gone. Jack and I continue walking, and I ask, "Isn't she from our school...? I saw you talking to her in class today"
I find out that this Christina girl is a good friend of Jack and that they grew up together. Oh.
"A- and is she your..." I finally stutter out. Finally. Jack looks at me "What, my girlfriend? No of course not!" he starts laughing "I-I mean she's nice but I'd never have a crush on her, ew"
I couldn't help but laugh at the look on his face. After a second, he starts laughing, too.
Eventually we stop talking about Christina. I'm trying to search for a good topic to talk about, but as always, there's just nonsense in my head.
"Are there any other bullies at our school? Like Dave, I mean?" I finally ask. Oh look, out of all the things I could've asked him i chose that question! Well done Alex... But Jack seems to be pretty pleased to hear me finally saying something, and so he starts to tell me everything about several bullies he knows. "And if someone wants to bring you down, just remember that you have me and then kick their ass! Because you're so much cooler than they are." He finishes his little speech and smiles widely. It's good to have him around. I feel like a complete stranger when he's there. Much more coinfident. I like this feeling.
