PART 7 - ALONE

"Take care of yourself. I'll go ahead now. I love you."

That was Eren's last words before he left Mikasa's house. Mikasa sighed before closing the front door. She's lonely again. But she wants to be alone either. Damn, what a mood!

She sat down on the sofa and hug a pillow. She reach for the remote control so she could watch something that's entertaining. She was on the middle of finding some good movies when the front door opened revealing Jean. Mikasa looked at him with bored eyes. Jean just closed the door and continued walking towards Mikasa.

"Eren's been here?" He ask when he's beside her.

"Yeah…" Mikasa lazily answered. Mikasa just want to be alone right now. Whenever Eren's not on her sight, and Eren's not beside her, she just want to be alone. She wants to be lonely when he's not around. And she's not fond of talking too much. Unless it was Armin or Eren, she could talk all day.

"Did he disturbed you or what?" Jean said on a worried tone.

She wants to badly tell everyone that he's her boyfriend, and they've been dating each other for a long period of time. But something's stoping her. Not the reason she's been always talking about, there's something else. And that kind of feeling makes her want to shut her mouth up. She was about to answer Jean's question when her phone vibrated on her pocket. She lazily get it and read the text message.

From: Eren

I think Jean saw me. If you're not comfortable answering a honest question, you could think of a different reason why. Love u

She sighed when she read the text. It has always been this. Everytime she's been persistent to answer why Eren's visiting here, Eren would text her and that always ended up, Mikasa lying to her friends. She just wants to smack herself for all the lies she'd been telling but she don't want to lose her boyfriend also. Mikasa's on a hot seat, and it's making really uncomfortable but she doesn't want to leave. Leaving the hot seat means leaving the love of her life.

"He's just asking where he could find Armin," she lied.

"Oh! Well then, are you hungry or what? I can cook something," Jean suggested. Staring at Mikasa who's busy watching the show on the TV. Jean couldn't really deny the beauty inside and outside of her.

"I'm just sleepy," Mikasa answered and yawned. Mikasa heard Jean chuckled. She felt Jean's arm behind her and his hand pushing her head through his shoulder. He wants her to lean on it. She didn't argue more and just lean on her friend's shoulder. Before she could doze off to sleep, Mikasa heard Jean said,

"Sleep well Princess."

Mikasa opened her eyes and slightly closed it a bit again when light welcomed her. A minute after when she's used to the light coming from the window, she opened her eyes and sat on her bed. She thought that maybe Jean brought her here. She sighed before she stood up to get her towel and went inside the bathroom. She have just to took a quick bath and get dressed before she'll walk outside.

When she's done, she pick a normal outfit and after she checked herself, she went outside her room. Mikasa roamed around every corner of her house but she couldn't find the man who brought her to her own room. She just shook her head when she really couldn't find Jean.

She walked towards the living room and get her car keys. She decided to just roam around the place, with no exact destination and just wasting her car gasoline. She locked the door before droving her car out.

Looking from side to side, finding some good places to stop. But after a whole 30 minutes of driving, Mikasa couldn't find a good one. The truth is, Mikasa couldn't find a non crowded place. Mikasa wants to go back to her house and just lay on her sofa all day watching some movies, but she knew that her friends will stopped by her house. Her alone time will be disturbed again.

She stopped by a lonely street. Mikasa doesn't knew where she was heading, she just drove off her car. When she parked it, she finds her phone the passenger seat but it wasn't there. Even on the dashboard, her phone's not there. She cursed the hell out of herself when she literally forgot her phone. It's on the coffee table. She did not put her phone back on her pocket again when Eren texted her.

"Stupid." She said to herself. But instead driving off to her house to get her phone, she did the opposite. She continued driving, straightforward, wishing that she can spot a good place to stop by. She sighed heavily when another 30 minutes had passed but still she couldn't find any.

"This is ridiculous," she said to herself while tapping her fingers on the steering wheel.

Another 30 minutes had passed, and turned into hours, but she still couldn't find.

"Damn, I'm tired. And hungry," she chuckled. Mikasa doesn't care on her car's gasoline and continued driving to find a better restaurant, or maybe she could just stop on a Drive-Thru station. She nodded in agreement to herself thinking about the Drive-Thru.

"Goodevening! May I have your order?" Voice of a lady asked.

She said her orders. After that she drove her car once again to another station where she could get her order. Mikasa opened her car window and a lady with a smile welcomed her eyes. The lady's eyes widened when she saw her face.

"Here's your order, Ma'am! Enjoy your meal!" The lady enthusiastically said.

Mikasa slightly nodded and smiled shortly before receiving her orders. "Thank you," she casually said.

After that, she ate her foods while driving. Mikasa decided to just stay late at night driving her car, with no destination on mind. Her car window's still opened, she wants to feel the cold breathe of air coming from the outside. Mikasa's enjoying the lights from the stores, restaurants, malls, and more. They're so colorful to watch.

A minute after, she decided to stop by on a park. It has few people, most of them were couple. Mikasa closed her car's door and walked towards an empty bench. When Mikasa roamed her eyes around the place, she knew that she's that far away from her house.

"I should have get my phone earlier. Watching this couple makes my eyes hurt," she joked to herself and chuckled.

Mikasa realized that even if she's alone, she'll enjoy. With strangers around her, she care less about that. All she wanted to do is to be alone for now. When Mikasa started loving Eren, she always thought that she couldn't be happy without that man beside her. Up until now. But she couldn't deny the fact that she's enjoying being alone, without Eren.
