Serenity watched as Erik and Jean rebuilt the school from next to Peter. He was hunched over leaning on his crutches as Serenity drew on his cast. Most of the students had signed it already, but Serenity blocked off a large portion of the cast for her to do as she pleased.

"Mystique told me he is your father. Are you gonna tell him," Ororo asked Peter after coming up on his other side.

"Yea, Pete, when are you going to tell him?" Serenity added casually.

Peter looked down at her curiously. "I didn't tell you he was my dad."

"I heard you talking to Raven back at the army facility. Don't change the subject, Peter," Serenity lightly slapped his stomach.

He sighed. "I might...one day. I think for now, I'm just going to stick around here for a while," He slipped his sunglasses over his eyes.

"Me, too," Ororo smiled as she glanced around.

"Good! I'm so excited to to be your field partner," Serenity capped her pen and stood up from the ground.

"Field partner?" The younger girl questioned.

"Well yeah, you helped us save the world. I'm pretty sure that qualifies you for the team," Serenity threw an arm around her shoulder as Peter did the same to her, his crutch dropping to the ground. The three looked at it for a moment before Serenity and Ororo burst into giggles. Peter rolled his eyes at them. "Yeah, ha, ha. Laugh it up, this isn't even funny."

It was a few days later when they were gathered in what Hank had dubbed the danger room. Serenity was stood in her new suit between Jean and Peter. It was similar to Peter's but the accent color on her suit was purple instead of silver.

"Forget everything you think you know," Raven began as she paced in front of the group. "Whatever lessons you were taught in school...whatever your parents taught you. None of that matters! You're not kids anymore. You're not students."

"Your X-Men," Alex finished as he joined Raven's side.

Serenity glanced over at Peter and shared a loving smile. When she faced forward her eyes glowed their vibrant purple.

"Bring it on."
