Kageyama was rushed to the hospital and Hinata was left alone. The pendant around his neck had started to get heavy. The light was faded into a dark grey.

Hinata no longer held his bright usual smile. His bright eyes were dead and cold. They held no life in them anymore. He no longer went to school or practice. He always avoided the hospital afraid of the outcome.

He didnt want any news on Kageyama. He didnt wanna know if he was dead or alive. The pendant told him everything. If the light was to go completely dim then he'd know Kageyama was gone.

Luckily the light was only fading. Its been a grey color for the past week and it wasnt completely black.

Here Hinata was sitting on his bed staring at the volleyball that laid in his hands. His mind was racing and his face held no emotion. Natsu had been taken to school and his mother just left him alone.

She understood what it meant to lose a soulmate. Her pendant held no color to it. She barely wore it anymore. Natsu's pendant was a light red and not fully glowing meaning she hasnt met her souldmate yet.

'Maybe it was meant to be this way' Hinata thought to himself as he let go of the ball and gripped the pendant.

The spikes pierced his palm drawing blood from the once closed wounds.

"Mom lost her soulmate and now Im losing mines" He whispered to no one in general. His voice held a broken tone.

"Maybe.. Our family wasnt meant to have happiness"

Tears slid down his pale cheeks as all the memories replayed. This pain was new. This pain held something in it. He didnt understand it. His heart ached constantly at the thought.

"THIS IS ALL MY FAULT" he shouted and threw the pendant at the wall. If he hadnt asked Kageyama on a date. If he hadnt waited. If he hadnt ignored Kageyama. If he wouldve just went to the younger male and asked him why then none of this would have happened.

Kageyama wouldnt have overthought and wouldnt have been distracted.

The salty taste of tears landed on Hinata's lips as they continued to fall. He let out a broken sob and reached for the pendant. His palms were mixed with dirt, tears, and blood. It was not a pretty sight.

Thats when he heard it.
