Naida stood, leaning against the wall, waiting patiently. Grey, however, was freaking out, even though they'd been there for less than two minutes, he kept mumbling to himself possible outcomes. Naida thinks it's kind of cute, but she quickly pushes that thought away, trying to focus. Suddenly there's a loud noise, that echoes from the hallway beyond their cell.

"Shh, we're supposed to be sneaky." Says an agitated female voice

"Sorry,"

"I think they're down this way..." Naida steps over the the cell door, she sees Kova, Suri, and Erik. "There you are." Suri says, a large grin on her face "Wow, jail suits you." Naida rolls her eyes

"Yeah, well, it took you long enough to find us, I was worried that Grey was going to have a mental breakdown." Naida says, jerking my thumb to the tall boy standing next to her, who blushes. "Please tell me you have a key."

"No, we just thought we'd come down here, and relish in the fact that you're finally behind bars, and out of our perfectly coiffed hair." She says sarcastically "Of course we brought a key, what do you think we are, amateurs?" She takes the long, silver key from her pocket, and inserts it into the keyhole. The door is opened, and Grey steps out, glad to finally be free.

"Come on, it's not going to take long for them to realize we're missing." I say before I run up the stone steps of the large castle, the group follows close behind. They reach the ground floor, and they can tell because of the large window. But Naida pauses only for a moment before continuing up more flights of stairs. They've been running for what feels like hours before they reach the highest tower. They step inside the shabby, but clean room, and see a woman with long blonde hair, and she is wearing a long, flowing, purple robe.

"I've been expecting you." She says, still staring out the window at the large village. "Are you ready?"

"Absolutely." Naida responds, the rest of the group is as confused as you, the reader, is. They stand in expecting silence, no one speaking, or clearly understanding what they were supposed to say. That is, before Grey broke the silence...

"What?" Naida raises her eyebrows expectantly at the woman

"Hello there, Grey. My name is Evanora. I'm a mage." She pauses, and jokingly she says, "With me so far?" She chuckles once, and continues "I am going to prove to the kingdom that your girlfriend here," Both Grey, and Naida blushed...hard "Is the daughter of king Eildrim." She turns from Grey to Naida "Are you sure about this? it's going to be extremely painful." Naida nods, and sets her jaw.

"I'm positive, we ready?"

"Yes, come here." She said gesturing to herself. Naida took two steps forward. Evanora placed her pointer fingers on the sides of Naida's head. "Close your eyes." Naida does what she's told, and Evanora closes her eyes as well. The group stood in an expecting silence, that is until Naida shrieked so loud the group was sure that the elven village heard it. She fell to her knees, Evanoras followed, and dropped to her own knees. Grey hurried to get Naida. "Don't touch her! If you touch her it will kill her!" Grey knelt, watching in horror, as his best friend screamed in pain, and there was nothing he could do about it.

"Please!" Naida screamed. A few tears rolled down her face, as she continued to scream.

"Stop, Please." Grey said it quietly, and he was not sure if he was heard, but he felt like his heart was breaking. Naida screamed in pain, and Grey allowed a few tears to roll down his own cheeks. "Please." Suddenly, Naida drew a quick gasp, and fell over onto the floor. Tears rolled down her face, unrelentingly. Grey quickly lifted her head up, and placed it on his lap. Naida began to thrash, as if she was having a seizure, and she let out a little yelp. "Help her! You can't just stand there and watch!" He yelled at the mage.

"I'm afraid there's nothing I can do about it. She chose to do this, and she knew the consequences when she chose." Evanora looked at Grey and Naida sympathetically. "I'm sorry." She said with real sincerity. Grey continued to hold his helpless friend. He stroked his fingers through her hair, and prayed that she would be okay. The rest of the group stood silently watching the scene before them, when the door furiously flew open, and many guards ran in. One man, who looked superior to the others strut in like he owned the place... which he probably did.

"Evanora," He said in a smooth, but deep voice "May I ask what exactly are you doing with the prisoners?"

"Yes, you may, Prince Damien." She said with a slight bow. He raised his eyebrows expectantly, and exasperatedly

"And what exactly is the answer to my question?"

"I am proving that this young lady here," She nodded in Naidas direction "Is the heir to the throne." She says nonchalantly, like it was obvious. He begins to laugh, he wiped fake tears from his eyes.

"That's very funny, I had no idea you were such a humorous person." He says, still laughing, although now is sounded more forced.

"I'm not." Naida stands up with a jolt, and pulls a knife from her boot. She steps toward Prince Damien, and places the blade to his throat. The guards all point their swords to her, but don't move for fear of her killing the prince. He laughs, as if it was humorous. Naida presses the knife deeper into his skin, and it draws some blood, he winces through his laughter.

"Is something funny?" Naida asked, aggressively.

"Well, you're surrounded by guards who could shove a sword into your gut at any moment." He says, finally slowing his laugh. "Do you think we can call a truce?" Naida glared at him, and looked at the soldiers who were standing around her. She pulls the knife away slowly, but she does it in such a way that it cuts some more of his skin. She keeps the knife firmly in her hand, stepping back one step so she was right in front of Grey.

"She is, you know." Evanora says, calmly.

"She "Is" What?"

"The heir to the throne." Evanora says, stepping over to him. She places her thumb on his forehead, and when she does; his eyes go blank, and his face flushes. they stand like that in a stormy silence.
