Hyeju didn't want to go to rehearsal. This was a really terrible decision. She can't act to save her life. She certainly can't do it in front of a crowd of people. She may have the look that's good for the Prince (Heejin's words, not hers) she didn't know how she was supposed to do the acting part. She loved Heejin, but she didn't exactly trust Heejin's directing abilities. Plus, the whole reason she even agreed was to get close to Chaewon, something that now felt stupid and immature to do.

"It's literally not a romantic thing, you are making a big deal out of nothing," Heejin complained as they walked down the hallway towards the theater.

"I'm sorry, but what exactly is platonic about kissing someone on the lips?" Yerim said loudly, Heejin shushing her frantically.

"Will both of you stop it?" Heejin whispered.

"I didn't say anything," Hyeju held up her hands in surrender. "But she's right. Even Yerim doesn't kiss you on the lips, and she's the most affectionate person I've ever met," She pointed out.

"Me and Hyunjin..."

"Yeah yeah, we know, you're "just really good friends". We're your best friends, and you'd probably punch me in the face if I tried to kiss you," Yerim said flatly.

"Still. If either of you make her feel bad you're going to face the wrath of me," Heejin warned. "And I'll kick you from the play, Hyeju,"

"Oh no..." Hyeju exclaimed without emotion. "I guess if it gets me kicked out of the play I better do it,"

Heejin grabbed a hold of the collar of Hyeju's shirt. "I'm serious. And also, you made a promise, you have to stay in the play,"

"It won't be so bad, all the girls are nice," Yerim said.

"I think it's just one girl Hyeju is worried about," Heejin smirked, Yerim laughing along with her.

Hyeju glanced at them in confusion. "What do you mean,"

"Come on, Hyeju, I know the real reason you agreed to do the play," Heejin nudged her shoulder. "Cause little miss Chaewon caught your eye?"

"What?" Hyeju asked in horror. "No. No. That is not what it is,"

"Sureeee," Yerim grinned. "Real convincing, Ju,"

"I'm serious. I just felt bad for you," Hyeju nodded to Heejin. "You were working so hard and you were stressed and-"

"Hye, as sweet as that would be, that's bull," Heejin patted her head. "Come on, she's pretty,"

"No really, that's the reason. I couldn't care less about her," Hyeju tried to shrug. "She seems like she's probably just some stuck up snob,"

I bet she's the nicest, most thoughtful person ever.

"Wow, that was cold," Heejin said in surprise.

Hyeju hoped that worked. Yeah, maybe she had ulterior motives for joining the production, but she didn't need her best friends to know about them. If she didn't embarrass herself in front of Chaewon, they certainly would.

"I heard she's really nice," Yerim said, a slightly disappointed tone in her voice. "She just dresses kind of..."

"Like a garden gnome?"

"No! Like a fairy," Yerim said dreamily. "If only I have the confidence to dress like that,"

"I think she looks nice," Heejin agreed. "She's pretty, you should be grateful that this play gives you the chance to talk to a pretty girl,"

Hyeju rolled her eyes but didn't respond as they pushed through the doors and walked into the theater, once again finding it already full of people. The actresses were already meandering about the stage, while stage craft was seated in the house, looking up when Yerim came in.
