Hyeju didn't have time to think about Chaewon. There were a million other things to do, and when the play started and Hyeju had to do her part, she almost forgot about what has just happened.

Almost.

"The Princess belongs to me!" Jinsoul bellowed.

"She is my love, you shall never keep me apart from her!" Hyeju yelled back.

The play was going fine. If anything it was distracting Hyeju from what she didn't want to think about.

Chaewon was up in the tower, above Hyeju as she fought with Jinsoul. She was into it, but she couldn't fully commit to it as she heard Chaewon's voice above her. It kept making her lose her focus.

"GO SON FUCKING HYEJU," Sooyoung yelled from the audience, and there were the disgruntled parents grumbling about Sooyoung's choice of words. Hyeju saw the corners of Jinsoul's lips curve upwards, and internally rolled her eyes. If she wasn't aware of how much Jinsoul loved Jungeun, she'd think that her cousin and Sooyoung were a thing.

"YOU'RE DOING GREAT SWEETIE," Jiwoo yelled, somehow even louder than Sooyoung.

Hyeju groaned under her breath and refocused on Jinsoul, glaring at her as Jinsoul threw another sword swing her way.

"My prince! Be careful!" Chaewon pleaded above her.

"I LOVE YOU WONNIE!" Called a boy, and Hyeju's heart sunk when she looked down at the audience and saw the boy before, a huge smile on his face as he watched Chaewon.

In her moment of distraction, Jinsoul swung at her again and because she expected Hyeju to move like she had in practice, she didn't hold back.

It hit Hyeju in the arm, and in that moment Hyeju genuinely wanted to punch Heejin for making them use actual metal swords.

The crowed gasped as Hyeju fell to her knees, and Hyeju saw panic fill Jinsoul's eyes as she looked from Hyeju to her own sword. Realistically she knew Hyeju was fine, but could she continue the scene?

Hyeju knew she had to pull through, if she messed up she had to improvise. But what could she possibly say?"

"Don't give up, my Prince!" Chaewon called, and Hyeju realized that wasn't part of the script.

She's helping me improvise.

"My love for the Princess shall never waver, not even in death," Hyeju rose to her feet, and Jinsoul pretended to back away in fear. "You cannot kill me, witch, I shall save my love,"

Jinsoul didn't stop her from pretending to stab her chest, which in reality meant conveniently putting it between Jinsoul's waist and her arm.

The crowd clapped wildly as Jinsoul fell to the ground with a mellow dramatic gasp, twitching as the life left her body.

The lights dimmed so they could get ready for the next scene, and Hyeju felt her nerves increase when she realized what was next; the finale, and the kissing scene.

Fuck, she was panicking. Stage crew was moving the stuff around on stage in the dark, and Jinsoul was already gone. Chaewon was waiting for her, and in a few moments, Hyeju would have to kiss her.

She looked up, and even in the dark she could make out Chaewon's figure. The girl was pacing in her tower, and Hyeju wondered if she was as nervous as Hyeju was.

The audience clapped as the lights brightened, and Hyeju watched the Princess step out of her tower with a grin, getting some more noise from the audience as they admired her beauty. She was beautiful, Hyeju thought. The dress fit her, it made her look ethereal. Hyeju knew she looked good in anything, but somehow this took her breath away each time. It was what made acting easier for her. She would truly be happy if she was a Prince who freed this Princess. She smiled on stage because in some part of her mind, she was pretending this was real. She was getting too good at it, now she had to try harder not to think about Chaewon's boyfriend who watched them from the front of the audience.
