The knight takes a good look at the girl named Lumi who stands in front of them. She looks familiar but the elf couldn't place where they had seen her before.

'I think you have the wrong person,' the knight replies to the elf.

'No, I have not.'

'I have to go. I hope you find your knight'

With those words the knight walks away, leaving Lumi confused behind.

She was sure that she found the knight who saved her, everything about the elf was the same, but why wouldn't they remember.

Not satisfied with the answer Lumi decides to follow the knight. Walking slowly making sure that the knight doesn't notice her follows. The young elf follows the knight to the edge of the city.

The knight stops at a tavern, takes a look around and walks in. Lumi, not sure if she wants to walk in, waits outside hoping that the elf would come out soon.

After more than an hour, a hooded elf leaves the tavern

The hood is a rich red colour, one you see often being worn by the wealthier elves from the city. Nothing special for Lumi.

All of a sudden the elf stops walking and their head and falls on their knees. Lumi rushes to them helping them.

'Do you need help?' she asks.

The elf shakes its head as a no sign.

'It's just a headache, I'll be fine,' the elf says softly. In their voice, you could hear that they were in quite a lot of pain.

'I don't believe you. So let me take you somewhere quiet where you can sit and rest.'

The elf looks up to Lumi and their eyes meet. The dark blue eyes of the elf mesmerise Lumi.

'Maybe you are right and a rest doesn't hurt,' they speak. Their voice muffled by a mask.

'That's great!' With enthusiasm helps Lumi the elf back up their feet.

They take a rest at a bench at a nearby park.

'My name is Lumi by the way,' Lumi starts the conversation.

'I know, you told me earlier. I'm sorry for not recognising you, my mind can be foggy sometimes.'

'Wait you are the knight?'

'I suppose I am. To make it easier you can call me Ash.'

'I have so many questions I wanted to ask you and for a moment I was scared I would never find you again. Ehm where do I start,' Lumi chatters.

A small snicker can be heard coming from Ash.

'I probably owe you some answers. I can't promise I will answer every question, but I guess start with the one that comes up first.'

'Okay, so when you saved me the first thing I actually noticed was the red armour. I know for a fact that red isn't a colour that you see around here.'

'That is because I am not from around here. For years I have been travelling. Seeing the land. Most of the time I try to avoid big cities though.'

'Oh, but why are you here then? I think you have noticed but this is quite a large city.'

'If I have been counting the days right in a few days it is the red moon festival. I have heard many stories about it but never got the chance to participate in one. Your city happened to be on my way to I decided to stay here for a short while.'

'I totally had forgotten it was almost that time of the year again. If you want I can guide you through the city.'

Lumi can't see it but a small smile is formed on ash their face.

'That would be nice.'

Most of the elves who Ash had met over the years ignored them. It is one of the reasons Ash likes to travel alone and far away from most civilisation.

'Oh, I almost forgot. How is your head?'

'It hurts less. Thank you for helping me Lumi.'

A small blush appears on Lumi her face. She doesn't get thanked a lot. Even though she walks through the street of her city every day not many elves notice her when she helps. Most of them are busy and go on with their own life.

'No problem. I guess I will see you around.'

With those words Lumi almost runs away, leaving Ash behind on a bench.

With their gloved hand, Ash grabs a small notebook and a pencil from the bag they have been carrying. They noted a few words down and stands up. Making sure they don't fall over and start walking towards the centre of the city.

Before the headache, Ash was on their way to get some food for the next days. They plan to leave the city as soon as the moon festival is over. But maybe they can stay a bit longer to say Lumi goodbye they think.

As they walk around the market something shiny catches Ash their eye. A small dagger with beautiful details on the handle and carved into the blade.

'It's a lovely dagger, isn't it? It is the perfect size to keep around at all times.'

Ash looks up and sees an older man talking to them.

'It is beautiful. It for sure is not something you see a lot around here. Is it all right if I hold it to feel the weight?'

'Of course, go ahead.'

Ash holds the dagger in her hand, makes a few movements and lays the dagger back down on the table.

'It has a pretty good weight to it,' says Ash impressed. From what Ash found the last years that it was hard to get your hand on good weapons.

'Of course, it has. I only sell the best there is. But can I conclude that you are interested in buying?'

'That depends on how much it cost.'

'Five silver pieces and it is yours. I already know you will take good care of it.'

'Deal.'

Ash pays the man and put the dagger away safely in their bag.
