I would like to dedicate this chapter and many more to Aim2015  for being an awesome friend/person and always reading and helping me with my stories!!! Thanks so much!!!! Your awesome!!!
Now here's chapter 8:
*^*^

Did they think I was dead?

Well they were in for a surprise.

Unless that wasn't me. I checked the picture again. That had to be me. Same grey eyes and birthday.

I looked over the packet at the other babies. Other then me, three of them were labelled retired.

Which meant six others were still alive! I wasn't the only one! I couldn't help but wonder where they lived, what they were like.

But of corse, three and a half thoughts wafted into my mind, ruining the moment.
1.) This packet was from a while ago, they could have died.
2.) why did my mom have these? She obviously worked for them but why would she do this to babies?
3.) my mom was still missing and I was still alone.
3.5.) why would anyone do this to kids? I mean, I love being able to fly but because of this my mom was missing, a bunch of kids were dead, and... I sigh. I was ranting.

That's why the last point counted as a half. It was more of a rant.

I look through the rest of the packet before gathering the papers into a pile to put away. I read my moms job application one last time in case it said anything else about the job but, seeing it didn't, I began to put it away too. But then I realized it had a address on it. For Itex! That could be where my mom was, where the other bird kids were.

I excitedly took a picture of it with my phone and packed up, eating some breakfast.

Then I rose up into the crisp air and flew off.

Hopefully no one saw me.

^*^

Pushing my tangled hair out of my face, I beat my wings as I fly over a city in Pennsylvania. It's windy up this high and, sigh, I'm going to have to do something with this frizzy hair of mine.

Actually, I had to stop down in the city anyway because I was running out of water.

Sigh again.

I scan the ground for a place to land. In the distance I can see a large park with a section filled with trees. It looks like my best option that isn't far away.

I slowly get higher, not wanting to be seen. Shivering I pull my jacket closer around me. The one I am wearing has slits I cut for my wings to go through so I can fly but the other one I own doesn't. So, I couldn't wear it when I was flying. I used it to cover up my wings.

When I get close to the park I slowly and carefully start to descend to the ground. I can feel it getting warmer with every few meters. Scanning the the ground for people I finally land quickly.

Giving a sigh of relief I walk a little more until I find a bench. Slumping down on it I look around. I am alone except for a couple who are sitting on a bench further away. Seeing them sets off a pang of loneliness in my stomach. I had no one. I had never felt so alone.

No, I had Sam and James. Taking out my phone I turned it on and opened up messages. There was one new one from Sam:
[How are you doing?]-Sam

Smiling, I responded.

[Lonely, but I have you thankfully.]-Me

I checked the battery, and seeing that it was at 21% I stood up. I needed to get supplies, help for my hair, and a Starbucks to charge my phone.

Hey people reading this! What's up?

Just wondering what people though of this story.

Also I'm not sure how to make really cool covers and such, so if anyone out there wants to/can then that would be pretty awesome.

Thanks!

P.S. I always love comments and such to give me ideas but most importantly, enjoy!
