Lunch at Granny's

"Get up you lazy cow. Mum says we're leaving in an hour" Charlotte says to nicely wake me up.

"Piss off" I groggily reply as I chuck a pillow at her.

I accidentally stayed up until later than I intended to watching movies, so I am still extremely tired and cannot be arsed to get up. Also the fact that I need to spend time with Ryan today along with some of my family members isn't a big motivator either.

Charlotte leaves the room and I start to fall back to sleep. Just as I'm about to fall back to sleep she comes back and says "these are mums words not mine" she then starts shouting "if you don't shift your arse into gear I give Lottie full permission to pour a glass of cold water over your head. Get a move on" This quickly gets me to get out of bed to go and get ready.

I go into my wardrobe and pick out a navy bodysuit, black skinny jeans and a red and blue checked shacket, since the weather outside looks like it is a bit nippy, despite it being summer. That's Scottish weather for ya.

I then go into my bathroom and take a quick shower. After that I get dressed and go back into my wardrobe to deal with my hair and makeup. I style my hair in soft waves and for my makeup I create a warm toned eye look with a pretty natural base and a browny nude lipgloss. Then I grab a pair of black converses and my handbag, and head downstairs to meet the rest of my family.

"I'm up. You don't need to pour any water over my head" I announce as I enter the kitchen where my mum and two sisters are waiting for me.

"about time" Charlotte sarcastically replies.

"Oh zip it you. You're not much better than her" my mum replies rolling her eyes "anyway, are we ready to go now?"

"Yeah. Well I am at least" I reply "actually, can I take my own car? It's not been used in months and I don't want the battery to die because then I will have to get it fixed and that's a pain"

"Yeah, you can. If you want when you go back to London I can drive it around a bit if you want?" My mum asks me.

"Aye that would be great. Thanks mum" I reply "I'm going to head over now then because I'm going to fill up the car on the way"

"Okay. See you there. We're going to leave in a minute anyway" my mum smiles. I then make my way to my car and start the drive towards my grandparents farm.

I drive to the nearest petrol station and fill up my car. I then go into the shop to pay. Whilst I'm in there I see that they have Tunnocks Tea Cakes on special offer and I know that everyone that's going to be there loves them so I pick up two boxes and go to pay for my fuel. I then get back into my car and continue the now short drive to my grandparents farm.

"Hiya hen" my granny says as she opens the door with a big smile and envelopes me in a hug.

"Hiya" I smile back "is everyone already here?"

"Aye, they are through in the conservatory. I'll take you through" she replies. We then go through to the conservatory where my papa, mum, 3 sisters, James and dickhead boyfriend are sitting, spread out on the various couches and armchairs. Despite there being 3 couches, the only seat left is next to said dickhead boyfriend. I don't want to make a scene so I go and sit down next to him and don't say a word.

"What's in the carrier bag?" My mum asks me pointing at the bag.

"Two boxes of tea cakes" I reply as I take the boxes out and place them on the coffee table.
