Amelia

I wake up to my alarm blaring. I quickly turn it off, so that I don't wake Ellie up. She would not thank me for that.

I chuck off the covers and get out of bed. I go over to the window and open my curtains. The sun has only just started to rise and the sky is a mixture of beautiful pink, orange and light  purple. It reminds me of when I used to sit out on my balcony back home and watch the sunsets. I look over at my clock on the wall and see that it is quarter past 4. This is the earliest I've been up and not been on nightshift for ages.

I walk over to my wardrobe and take out a plain black bodysuit, black gym leggings and grey cardigan. I then go over to my drawers and take some underwear and socks. After that I go to the bathroom for a quick shower. I turn the shower on and whilst I wait for it to heat up I brush my hair. When the water is heated I quickly undress and step into the shower.

*****

When I get out the shower. I wrap a towel around my self and go over to the mirror. I quickly dry my hair and put it into a high ponytail . Then I decide that It's too early to put in my contacts, so I will just wear glasses today, or at least until we go out for the dress fitting this afternoon. I then get dressed and hang the towels up.

I walk back into my room and unplug my phone from where it is charging and put it in my handbag, so that I don't forget it. I glance back over at the clock on the wall and see that it is now quarter to 5. I need to get my skates on and get out. I decide against having breakfast because I can just grab something at the airport. I zip up my suitcase and carry it out of my room, along with my handbag and jacket. When I get to the front door I quickly slip on a pair of black converse's and then I leave.

When I get into the lift at the end of the corridor I quickly realise that I haven't called a taxi yet. Shit. I exit the lift and then the building. I walk over to a bench, not far from the door and sit down. I then take my phone out of my handbag and dial a taxi company. They say that a taxi will be here in about 10 minutes. I end the call and wait patiently for my it to arrive.

Hero

I wake up and quickly chuck on the clothes I had on yesterday. I'll have a shower later since I plan on going back to bed after saying bye to Mia.

Diesel is awake, so I grab his lead and call for him to come. He runs towards me and I clip his lead to his collar. I then put on my white trainers, grab my keys and exit my apartment.

When I get to the ground floor. I'm surprised to see it's light outside, because of how early it is. I open the glass door and walk out. I see Amelia sitting down on a bench by the pavement, so I walk over. She must hear me coming because she turns around and smiles. I can tell that she is surprised to see me.

I sit down on the bench next to her
"You do know that you didn't have to get up just to say bye" She jokes.
I laugh at her jokey response to me getting up early and then say "since, you put the effort into trying to say bye to me in person and I wasn't in, I'm putting the effort in now"
"You didn't need to but, thank you" she smiles

Just then a taxi pulls up and Mia says "well, I guess I better go" she then gets up and I do the same.
"Text me when you land, okay" I ask her
"I will, thank you for waiting with me" she replies
I walk over and grab her suitcase. It's surprisingly light. I walk with her over to the taxi and put it in for her. Before she gets in the taxi, she gives me a hug, thanks me for carrying her suitcase and says bye. She gets in and I close the door for her. Then I step back onto the pavement and wave to her. Then not even a minute later the taxi has zoomed off and is on the way to Gatwick airport. The sight actually makes me feel quite sad, no idea why because she is coming back on Monday.
