"This place is weird. I don't like it here." Mila states as she found her dad shaving his face. She leans on the door and pouts, "I don't want to be here. Let's go back to Russia and spend time in the motel. I hate it."

Her dad tilts his head to look at her, then he smiled, brushing shaving cream on her nose, "Mila, I promise it'll be fun here."

"Nope," She shrugs, "I'm going to go back to Russia. All by myself. I want to go home."

Her dad wipes off his chin, then sat beside her, holding both of her shoulders, "Remember when I told you that...life isn't fun for us all of the time? That I wasn't very nice before you?" She nodded, "Well...the problem with Russia and going home, is that..what if one day the bad people find us?"

"I'm smart. I will fight them."

"I know you're smart, but we need to stick together. We're a good team." The stubborn girl rolled her eyes but nodded, "Alright? And you won't hurt anyone while we're here."

She nodded, rolling her eyes once more, "I promise. I won't hurt anyone."

He knew she would never hurt anyone. She was a good kid, but what if one day it changed? She wasn't a bad person, she was raised by bad people. James knew she was with those people now. Alone. Cold. She's probably not even alive.

"Are you still with us?"

"It's just funny how the same week my daughter goes missing, he's broken out," James snapped at the room, "I know he has her. I know he's taken her somewhere and if you would all just let me go out there—."

"Bucky, if he has Mila, she'll be alive-"

"If he has Mila she isn't safe!" James shouts back at them. "Mila isn't as tough as she puts out to the world. She's just a little girl. She isn't—Why would I let her go?"

Steve holds onto James' shoulder and pulls him to the door, "Let's take a walk—."

"I won't leave this room until someone gives me a good reason why my daughter is missing and nobody is out there looking for her!"

"Teague isn't a normal man. He has people all over this city crawling around looking for—."

"Mila," James snapped at Fury slamming his hands to the table, "Mila is who he is looking for and now he has her. What are you going to do about it? You said she was coming back. You said she would be here, now all we have is two dead guys, a criminal who's escaped, and a missing girl."

"You know why we haven't gone out there. I will do what I can to find Milana, but not at the risk of losing my team," Fury barks at them. Steve tugged on James' arm again, "Leave my office. We're done here."

"Bucky let's go."

James lets himself be ushered out of the room by his friend, throwing down a pile of papers as he left. Natasha glances at Fury before following the two of them. James slumped himself down onto the sofa, petting Lunch as she sat by his side.

"Mila isn't dead."

"I know that. That's the worst part," James whispers, "Fury has stopped looking for her."

Steve glances at Natasha. She sits beside Lunch and James, "It's too dangerous."

He knows that. He's been trying to think straight since he realised she was gone. He wanted to march up and down the streets until he found his daughter, but they wouldn't let him go.

James jumps as his arm sparks. Natasha sighs, "Did you punch the wall again?" He rolled his eyes as he stood up. He snapped his hand back into place but it slipped out again. He shakes his head, walking down to the lab.
