Barbie in secret Roberts legacy

The quest of survival begins

Patricia's POV

We were back at the house.

"Can someone explain who Sligo is?" Mrs. Roberts said demandingly.

Mr. Roberts sighed.

"Well the story goes back to nearly twenty to thirty years ago.
You all know my dad traveled a lot. He always liked going on adventures, just like Barbie," Mr. Roberts began, "he had a very nice friend in all of his journeyes, Edward Sligo Johnson."

I gasped. "As in the crazy guy who's after Barbie's legacy?"

Unfortunately he nodded.

I glanced at Renee and then Teresa.

"My father and his friend found out about this forgotten family myth, the Roberts singularity or known as the secret legacy of Roberts.
The myth said whoever goes after the singularity is doomed to death, except for the real wielder," Mr. Roberts added.

"We already know who the real wielder of the legacy is. The legends said, that the wielder is a strong fighter princess who is kind, beautiful and a perfect leader. All the clues are pointed at........her," Renee said.

Mr. Roberts and Mrs. Roberts looked at each other confused.

I sighed. "All the clues are referring to Barbie. She is the wielder of the legacy."

Mrs. Roberts looked at me shocked.

"Are you kidding me?! Barbie is already in enough of danger. My brother is out there to kill her!" Mrs. Roberts exclaimed worriedly.

Mr. Roberts put a hand on her shoulder.

"It will be alright, Margaret. We'll figure out something," Mr. Roberts said.

"Well, what should we figure out? He literally bombed a whole entire building close to the city hall to just kill Barbie!" Mrs. Roberts exclaimed again.

But if this legacy was Barbie's, and if the legend wasn't forgotten by everyone, this could only mean that Barbie was gonna be in more danger than we previously thought.

"Wait! What happened between Sligo and your father, Mr. Roberts?" I asked.

"Yes. Back to the story.
When they found out about the myth, they began to investigate the case. But as you girls pointed it out, my father realized that he isn't the rightful wielder.
So he decided to help the actual wielder. He told Sligo about it and he didn't take it well," Mr. Roberts explained.

Now I knew what was happening and why Sligo was after Barbie this much.

He knew she was the wielder.

"Sligo realized that the wielder is Barbie and that was when he attacked. Barbie was only five years old back then," he said.

I knew what happened next.

"A few years after, my father suddenly died due to food poisoning.
That was when I decided to keep that secret hidden since it hurt my family in so many ways," Mr. Roberts finished his story.

I took a deep breath and tried to process everything I heard.

Barbie's POV

I groaned as I woke up.

I was on my bed?

After a several minutes, all the events of today came back to my mind.

I quickly got out of my bed.

Once I got out of my room I heard my dad talking about the story of the secret legacy of Roberts.

I never knew any of this.
