An unexpected vacation

Barbie's POV

I was thinking about everything that happened thirteen years ago.

Why did my parents forbid me to find out the secret?

As I was thinking my friends entered the room.

." Hey girl, how's everything?" Teresa asked.

." Oh hi, I'm fine. Except I don't know why I'm here," I pointed out.

." You know, the doctor said it was for working too hard. All those stress you've been under is overwhelming especially for a teenager," Patricia said.
I rose an eyebrow. Even without any training I could say she was lying.

But I decided to let it slide one time.

." What do you mean?" I asked confused.

." How much did you sleep this week and when was the last time you slept?" Renee asked firmly.

." Uhh.........I think five hours..............and it was two days ago," I replied causing my friends to glare at me.

." Barbie what the hell are you doing? What is more important than your health?" Teresa frowned.

." Well......... I usually practice until midnight cause you know it never hurts to be prepared," I lied. Of course this wasn't the actual reason.

." Oh in midnight? It never hurts to be prepared in midnight? You do know you're not a good liar, right?" Patricia glared at me causing me to gulp.

." Is the reason what I'm thinking?" Renee asked smirking.

." Uhh......... What reason?" I asked nervously.

." You know, the reason you didn't confess to the love of your life," Patricia teased.

I sent her a death glare.

." Barbie, we know you are worried about him harming your family but you have to get some rest. Or you'll end up hurting yourself," Teresa said.

I sighed. She was right.

." So what do you say I should do?" I asked. I really wanted to know where they were taking this conversation.

." Easy, how about a vacation?" Renee suggested.

I was even more confused. Why would they suddenly want to take me on a vacation? Especially when there was a crime boss like my step uncle was on loose. I had a feeling that they were up to be something.

." Why?" I asked.

." You know, to relax and enjoy. It's been a while we did that. Also let's go somewhere with good pizza," Renee replied.

I frowned and crossed my arms.

." Guys, seriously? There's there's like the biggest crime boss in the world is on loose. He can cause so much damages and yet you're thinking about vacations, pizza and stuff like that?" I frowned.

." Barbie, come on, a little fun won't hurt. And I purromice it will be purrfect," Patricia said playfully.

I rolled my eyes at her.

." Now you're reminding me of Alan! Wait a second, is our little cat burglar in love with some alley cat?!!" I teased.

." WHAT?!!! N-no of course not," Patricia stuttered.

." Oh really? But I think the cat's out of bag!" I teased.

Renee and Teresa tried to muffler their laughter but failed misery.

Patricia sent both of a them a scary death glare.

I began to chuckle at the situation.
Served her right. Now she learned not to mess with me about Ken.

." Okay, guys! Where should we go exactly?" Teresa asked.

." How about Miami?" Renee suggested.

." Or how about New York City?" Teresa suggested.

." I think my suggestion is way better," Renee frowned.

." Or my suggestion can be way better than yours," Teresa argued.

." Guys. GUYS!" Patricia screamed.

Renee and Teresa looked at her with a 'sorry' look.

." Seriously? Is that how you guys picked a song for friendship day?" Patricia exclaimed.

." Don't ask," I replied chuckling at the memory.

Patricia rolled her eyes." Poor Nikki! She must've driven crazy by you guys," she mumbled.

I glared at her. We had some disagreements but we weren't like that.

." Okay, so where should we go for vacation?" Teresa asked.

." Oh I know. How about Willows Wisconsin? I mean all of you guys had the chance to go there except for me. Like the time you found Willows hidden treasure. Or the time you and Daisy went to the Balled of Windy Willows to save your aunt's business. Or the time you guys were chased by someone who pretended to be a ghost," Patricia exclaimed.

." That's a great idea! I'll talk to my parents and my sisters they'll difinetly agree," I said.

." Okay, see you then. The doctor said you'll be released today," Teresa said.

My friends went out.

Okay one more mystery added to my 'find out list'.
Why we're my friends acting like this? And what was my grandfather hiding.
