A/N: In Ancient Greece blonde hair and blue eyes were more prevalent than today where darker hair and eye coloring is more common. In fact today some babies in Greece are born with blonde hair and the hair darkens drastically as the grow up and their hair can darken so much it becomes black. It is also known that Ancient Greeks used a permanent black hair dye. Knowing this I'm going to say Marcus was born a dirty blonde (like his daughter who shares his hair coloring) but was changed into a vampire after using the dye which is why his hair is black now.

In the case of vamps I'm thinking temporary dyes would simply disappear during the change because of the venom as they can be washed out and are only located on the surface of the hair BUT a permanent dye penetrates and bonds to the hair itself so the venom wouldn't destroy it especially in cases where it has existed a long time. In this case, Marcus had dyed his hair repeatedly every time the smallest hint of blonde showed as it not only stood out but was common for prostitutes to dye their hair blonde (not sure if that was the time period when he was human or afterwards, but still a fact).

P.S. What do you guys think about my casting of Brad Pitt as Marcus?

P.P.S. Basically Mariella/Clem gets her blonde hair this time from Marcus and her maternal grandfather (and not just her past lives) though Charlie thinks it comes from both Renee's father and the Swan family having blonde hair up until he got his mother's dark brown. Also please imagine his hair is this color and eyes are red or black in future gifs.

P.P.P.S. I kind of imagine for the vampires that they are frozen in the way they were changed not just in age and physically but hair wise for the most part also so I'll be including that. For instance we know Alice has short pixie like hair but a spiky bob cut in the first movie so I want to integrate that. I'm going to say this is possible because of their venom breaking down the blood they drink and absorbing the nutrients allowing their hair to grow but only to where it had previously been (with the addition of about an inch or two from the change basically beautifying them fixing split ends and making it healthier) unless something else affects it (in this case magic).

This also would include things like body hair and nails as they are produced until actual death and we know that Twilight vampires bodies still function somewhat (given Renesmee's birth). In this I'm going to say that the venom basically helps in producing the sperm as we know clearly they can get erections so then why can a vampire female not produce a child? I'm going to say it has to do with the fact that the venom prevents anything, in this case a fertilized egg, from attaching to the uterus (chemical pregnancy).
