Part 7: Phoenix, AZ to Forks, WA

A/N 1: Now just to make it clear before seeing Matthew in Chapter 5 Clem didn't remember her previous lives and with him she had only regained the life she had with him but she has since regained the rest. Bella insisted on the repeated testing hoping it was wrong before Clem made her stop with the last test to show who was related to Charlie despite already knowing the truth herself. Bella thought it would be here that wasn't related to him due to her difficulty connecting with him unlike Clem who did so easily.

Bella has noticed a difference in Clementine but attributes it to the DNA tests and the fact that until that point Clem worried she might be infertile as she never started her period (came after her memories were regained) despite Bella and Renee being early bloomers.

A/N 2: Clementine is officially a hybrid whereas before her vampiric side was mostly blocked by her dormant magic. This means that aside from a slightly accelerated mental capacity (learning things faster and easier to the point she easily maintains her grades with minimal effort) she was almost completely human albeit gifted with her looks, intelligence, athleticism, her mental shield, and previously unconscious ability to influence others telepathically.

She has been working on controlling her abilities since becoming a true hybrid (strength, speed, not reacting to what she shouldn't be able to hear/smell) and can as such control them fully now thanks to her accelerated mental capacity making it easier to learn (basically her brain is a sponge absorbing knowledge like crazy). She will continue to age until she is physically 23 (the age she died as Clemence Cullen).

Her being a witch in this 'verse makes her a different species (not human) and because of this makes her stronger than other hybrids (human/vampire whereas she is witch/vampire) and leaves her on near to equal footing with vampires in terms of physical capabilities. Her skin while flawless like a vampire is still malleable and as such can be broken with enough force. So long as her heart is beating she can survive but is still capable of reattaching her limbs thanks to the active venom running through her. While venom is not active in female human/vampire hybrids it is is witch/vampire hybrids due to the magic ensuring its 'host' gains all benefits of their nature without the pitfalls (AKA shining bright like a diamond).

Phoenix, AZ

"You girls don't have to do this." Renee says as Phil finishes loading the last minute box she had packed for the twins with a few cute skirts, some eyelet blouses, and a pair of UGGs into the small U-Haul hitched onto the back. She wanted to be sure they would both have some cute outfits and a new pair of good boots each considering how cold and rainy she remembered Forks being. It certainly didn't help that the closest decent shopping area was at least an hour away. She didn't know how her girls could do it and as much as she wanted to believe in them she was sure they'd be home by the end of the year.

"Mom we love you but this is what we want. We miss Dad." Bella says somewhat hesitant of how she will react. 

"But you just got back." Renee pouts.

"Mom we're going to be in college in two years and we'll be 18 in September. It's time we spent time with Dad." Mariella cuts in before Renee can say anything else. "We've only spent a few weeks with him at a time and if we're being completely honest I don't think we've spent so much as two years with him all combined. You've had us to yourself for 17 years."
