Saiunkoku (Love Potion)

prologue

The moon slowly rose as, the wind blew. King Ryuuki Shi sat on a bench under the roof staring out into the night wondering. 

Ryuuki Shi sighs and he suddenly hears footsteps coming up from behind him. He looks to see Seiran dressed in white and red cloths. He had a sliver sword with bronze on the handle. He was a very handsome and talented person and he sadly exiled for treason along with his unloving mother. "Older brother." Ryuuki turns to him wondering why his brother was here to see him. He had already just visited him a few minutes ago. "Stop calling me that or otherwise, I'm gonna have to take pity on you." Seiran teases with a giggle.

Ryuuki Shi turns away staring at into the night once more. He frowned crossing his arms for a few seconds. It wasn't long after he had lost Shuurei Hong. How could he be getting wed again after he had just lost the love of his life. There was know one he had ever loved more then Shuurei Hong. She was the only thing that mattered to him and now she was gone. His perfect life is gone and now he has to choose another woman.

"Are you thinking about who you have to choose?" Seiran steps in with curiosity. Ryuuki sighs closing his eyes for a few seconds. "Yes." He opens his eyes again. "He doesn't want anyone else. Why does he have to choose another. Seiran hugs him feeling sorry. "Everything's going to be ok." You and Shuurei Hong made a perfect couple but you'll see. When the time comes, your happiness will come to you." He stops hugging him. "Well I've got to go now. Seiran smiles waving goodbye. He exits.

Ryuuki Shi frowns watching his brother leave. He turns away staring out into the night again. He missed it when Shuurei Hong would yell at him or assist him whenever he needed the help. Who would ever take her place. 

"Is everything alright your majesty?" Ryuuki Shi turns to see his other friend Shuei Ran dressed in violet cloths. He was a former general of an army. He was a womanizer and he always liked to tease others. 

"Yes, I'm fine." Ryuuki Shi sighs turning away staring straight out with sadness.  "I just don't want another lover. Know body's like Shuurei. Those woman don't have the same makeup, perfume, or pink cloths like she did. Shuei Ran smiles stepping in sitting beside him. "Ya know, it dosen't matter if the next woman your gonna meet has the same makeup as, Shuurei, or the same perfume, or a fancy pink cloths. Shuei Ran smiles at him. "But was does matter, is that she has the biggest heart." He points at his heart. "But for me." He leans back back crossing his arms to the back of his head. "I'll take anyone." He closes his eyes with joy for a few seconds and leans forward getting up. "When don't you?" Ryuuki Shi teases with a giggle.

"Don't worry. Someday you'll find the perfect woman who will love, cherish, and be willing to give her life to you. Have faith in yourself your majesty." Shuei Ran pinches his cheek. "Goodnight." He exits with a wave.

Ryuuki watches him leave and looks up at the stars. "I hope your right Shuei Ran."
