Walking through the doors, I was expected to be greeted with unfimilar faces. Instead, all I saw was an empty hallway. Everyone must have already went to class. We walked into the office to get our schedules, only to be meet by the receptionist. Ku"Hello, you must be the Ericsons. Here are your schedules and I hope you guys have a great first day. Oh and welcome to Beacon Hills!" Darren, Ian, and I were all looking for our classes. "Hey do you have history?" Ian asked with the look of hope on his face, "No, I have chemistry with Harris." " Well at least you guys have chances of being in the same classes together", poor Darren was all alone, but I knew it wouldn't last long he was always a people person. I finally found the class I needed. "Well, wish me luck!," sarcasm dripping in my voice. I slowly opened the door taking in deep breaths, trying to calm my racking nerves. The teacher was in the middle of teaching something about chemistry. When all of a sudden, it being my luck, a draft of air caught the door and slammed it behind me. This caused not only the teacher, but the entire class to look at me. So much for calming my nerves. "May I help you?" The teacher ,I assume to be Mr. Harris, said annoyed. "Um I'm Illizabeth Ericson, the new girl." "Ah, yes they said I'd be getting a new student. Here's your book and have a seat next to Mr. Hale, Derrek show her who you are. And maybe she can keep you from failing my class." I look out toward the classroom and see a hand raised up into the air, only to belong to who I assume is Derrek Hale. I walked over to the table and sat next to the boy. Only to finally get a good look at him. He had stunning green eyes and light sun kissed skin. And his smile that could light up the whole room. "You know if you take a picture it 'll last longer." I could feel the heat rising up into my cheeks as I quickly looked away, only to hear him chuckle. "Come on Derrek, don't scare the poor girl on her first day. I'm Camron by the way," a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes said to me,"Illizabeth." "Hey, its not my fault that I'm so irrestiable that all the girls stare." Really! Why does he have to be so cocky! "Maybe I was staring because I find you repulsive." This caused Cameron to laugh,"Wow Hale, looks like your boyish charm doesn't work on everyone!" Everyone? Is he known to get all the girls at school to fall for him? "I'm always up for a challenge." I look over to see Derrek with a huge smirk on his face, "I always get what I want." By now he didn't seem so attractive, but more cocky and bullheaded. "We'll see about that", and with that said the bell finally rang.

The rest of the morning was the same, introducing myself and trying to catch up with everyone else on school work. Finally, lunch came around and I was looking for a place to sit. I was just about to give up when I heard a voice behind me, "Hey Illizabeth!" I turned around to see a girl with light brown hair and blue eyes. She seemed to have a bubbly personality, someone who could be friends with anybody. "Hey.... Um, I'm sorry I don't know your name." She chuckled "I'm Macy! I was wondering if you wanted to sit with me today. Not to be rude but you looked a little lost." I was so glad to meet someone other than my brothers,"Sure." We walked over to a table with a bunch of people. "Guys, this is Illizabeth. She's new so be nice!" I saw the guy from chemistry had a seat next to him, so I went for it and sat by him. "Hey new girl." I so loved my nickname. "Cameron right?" "Yeah, and I'm sure you remember that guy." I look toward the seat that was across the table from me, only to be meet by the person that I really didn't want to see. Derrek Hale. He looked up at me with the biggest smirk a guy could ever give,"I told you, you couldn't resist." Boys! I didn't want to give him the satisfaction of making me uncomfortable so I just ignored him. "So how do you think this seasons going to go?" Thank God Cameron got what I was doing! "As long as our team captain shoots those threes like last year, we will definitely go all the way!" One guy says to Derek with a man hug sort of thing. "You guys are on the basketball team?" I asked trying to make conversation,"Yeah, and Derrek here is the team captain." Derrek looked up at with what seemed to be hope in his eyes, "Is that suppose to impress me?" That same cocky look etched onto his face," Does it?" The bell rang for next period and I had just enough time to answer with a,"No." And left the cafeteria. The rest of the the day went fast which I found to be a good thing. Ad I was going to the car, Macey stopped me. "Hey, I was wanting to tell you about cheer leading tryouts tomorrow. I think you should go." She had a caresmatic smile that was so big it looked like her face could break at any moment, "I'm not sure... I mean I was a cheerleader back in Georgia", without letting me give a proper answer ," Great! Oh I so can't wait. I have a feeling we are going to have an amazing friendship." Finally the boys showed up and we were soon on our way home. "So basketball tryouts are tomorrow..." "Are you guys going to go?" I asked trying to engage a conversation," Yeah I think we will Lizzie. And the same goes for you", I hated when Darren used his big brotherly voice. "I guess we'll see....." And the rest of the ride home was in silence.
