I woke up to a wonderful thought. It's Saturday. I loved the weekend cause that meant you could do whatever you feel like doing. But then I think about it and only frown. It's Saturday, meaning we have training. I get dressed in my workout clothes and head down stairs and wait to see what we were doing today.

"First thing in defensive training, always expect the unexpected." It was always the same speech for what ever we were doing, but my dad always keeps us informed. We were in the basement of the house, which dad had already worked on making our training room. "Ian, Iz your up first." I always loved going against Ian. No matter how hard he would try , I would always get him on the ground. "I'm defiantly going to win this time." Ian says, but it sounded more like he was telling himself, "Bring it!" I say with determination. Ian started running at me full speed, I do the same. He had his arm out ready to clothesline me, but I notice it and slide down to my knees and hit his legs causing him to fall. As soon as he fell, he quickly got back up again. Then we started to come at each other again. Ian throwing punches while I blocked them. I finally grabbed one of his arms and swift kicked his leg out from under him causing him to fall straight to the floor. "Okay! I give up!" I just start laughing, "Took you long enough." And now, with me beating Ian, it was now my turn to go against Darren.
"Alright little sis, let's get this over with", I've always hated that little cocky smirk of his! I looked at him, "Don't hold back", I said. Darren started to laugh, "Do I ever?"
With that we charged at each other.

Darren and I have been battling each other for over an hour an hour when finally my dad pulls out the polls (polls used for musical weapons) and tosses them to us. And to long after we got them we started swinging then around. I was quick to notice Darren's stance. I easily swept the pole toward his legs making him fall, catching his pole along the way. "Alright I think that's enough for today", dad said in his affirmative tone. I go to help Darren up," Next time, I'll get you next time." I just laughed and ran upstairs to get a shower.

The hot water felt relaxing on my muscles. I know I'm going to be sore tomorrow. As I got out my phone went off. I looked and noticed I got a text from Macey saying it was time to make my living in Beacon Hills official and go to her party. I sent her a text back saying I was up for it. I walked over to my closet and decided on a black shirt with a colorful Indian print and short shorts with my light tan boots that went to my knees. I was proud of my accomplishment. My hair was already naturally curly so I didn't even bother it. I walked passed the boys room only to notice them getting ready for something as well, "Um, what are you guys doing?" They turned around noticing my outfit, "I'm taking it we all got the same message then", Darren says. "That only means one thing, Iz your the DD tonight!" Of course leave it to Ian to assign me a job, "Seriously! Ugh fine!" How come I never get to have any fun! We all went down to the car and headed to Macey's house.

As we pulled in I could already hear the music. We all walked toward the backyard where everything and everyone seemed to be. There were tons of people, some I recognized and some I didnt. Well this should be fun. I was looking around for Macey when I heard someone talking to me, "So the new girls a party goer huh." I turned to see Dereks cheeky smile, "Actually I'm the DD tonight." He chuckled, "I haven't seen Macey in a while so I can't really help ya there." He must've noticed me looking for someone. "Oh um......", I couldn't think of anything to say, where was Macey! "Do you want to get out of here?", I was kind of shocked by his straight forwardness. "But I just got here?" I said to him. "Do you really want to be at a party where everyone else is having fun, while your here babysitting your brothers?" He had a point. "Well where do you suggest we go?" He got a small smile on his face. "I think I know just the place." This secentence made me nervous. Well here goes nothing...

We were walking with some small talk here and there, when we finally showed up to what looked like a little playground. The moonlight gave it a sort of sentual glow. "Okay, I'm just going to say it, why won't you hive me a chance?" I looked over at him, did it really bug him that I didn't fall for his boyish charm? "Why do you want to know?" I said walking around the playground. "Well, I feel like everything I try it isn't working", he had some sadness in his eyes. "Maybe I just don't like cocky basketball players who think they can do and get what they want." His head fell down, "And maybe, some people need to learn to be themselves." I look around the playground and notice the monkey bars. I smile and look back at Derek, " How about we make a deal..." He looks up at me confused, "What kind of deal?"

Its been five minutes since we started hanging on the bars. The deal was if my hands slipped before his did I had to go on a date with him and if his slipped I didn't have to go. We were both struggling I look up "Ugh my hands are slipping!" Next thing I knew Derek was not hanging on anymore. He had a bummed face, I let go and stood next to him. "I guess that means your taking me out tomorrow, around seven... And you better not be late." As I walked back to Macey's I could feel his eyes on me. I had to give him a chance, I mean he was trying.

It was Sunday, the day Derek and I were going out. It seemed like a good day
The sun was shining and the birds were singing, and happiness was shown on my face. As I was walking to the bathroom I peeked into the boys' room to see them completely knocked out. And the trashcan between both of their beds. Ha! That's what they get for underaged drinking! I went and got a shower. The hot water felt good on my skin. I wonder what Derrek has planed?

I ran down stairs after I got dressed. I couldn't help but smile. I know I've been giving Derrek a hard time, but man he is cute! My parents noticed me being giddy and I knew they were going to say something, "Someone seems happy today and I know its not cause your excited about sore muscles after training." I just kind of laughed, "No that's not it.." My mom decided to join in on the fun, "Then what's on your mind babe?" I slowly turned, "I may or may not have a date later tonight." This is where the roles changed, from my mom being concerned to happy and dad being happy to concerned. "Awe! NY baby is growing up!" My mom scurried over to hug me. "Who is he? What's his name?" I love it when my dad puts him tough guy exterior up, " Guys, it's not a big deal. And if you must know his name is Derrek, Derrek Hale", I noticed them glance at each other, "And he's really nice and I think-" Dad stopped me mid sentence, "I'm sure he's a good guy and I hope you have a nice time." Did those words really come out of my dads mouth? All oli could do was look at him, "What? Can't I be civil?" My mother and I both looked at each other, "No! Not when it comes to boys." He just chuckled, "There is always a time for change." What is up with him?

It was 6:50 and I was getting anxious. What if he doesn't show? That's when I heard a knock at the door. I ran over to it only to be stopped by my dad. He opened the door, "Hello, you must be Derrek." He extended his arm out for a hand shake, "Yeah, it's nice to meet you Mr.Erickson."
Derrek looks at me  which cause butterflies in my stomach. "Hey.... Are you ready to go?" He looks so adorable, I should probably answer, "Yeah, see you later dad!" And we went out the door, leaving me wonder what's going to happen.

We pulled up to a resturant that seemed kind of fancy. Derrek came around and opened my door for me, who knew he could be a gentleman? He held out his hand for me to take and lead me to the door. When we went inside, there was only one table in the middle of the room. Low lights made it look romantic. I was at a lost for words. "Do you like it?", I looked over to see a little panic on Derek's face. "It's perfect", I said just to give him some type of relief. He came over and pulled out my chair for mevand helped me in. Who knew he was such a gentleman. When he sat down, he started to reveal what was under the plate covers. There was grapes, chocolate covered strawberries, and many other fruits. And so began the first date of what I hope to be many to come.
As we walked to my door. We stood there in silence for the longest time. " I had a great time tonight", deciding to break the ice. "Yeah, so did I." Again. Silence. "Well I'll see you tomorrow", as he started to walk away I used the little bit of courage I had left. " Derek wait!" I ran up to him as he finally turned around. I looked him in the eyes, it seemed like he was wanting to do the same thing but afraid to make the first move. So I went for it. When our lips finally touched, it felt like sparks were flying like in one of those cheesy fifty's movies. The kiss was nice and slow. When we finally went to catch our breath I couldn't help but smile. "Good night...." I said as I ran back to the door and all the way to my room leaving Derek, to what I hoped to be speechless.
