it was an ordinary day for elise. she was editing a youtube video and simultaneously getting ready to stream. for the past week, her and her soulmate had been communicating a lot. smiley faces dotted her arm, along with short conversations. still, in the back of her mind, she wanted to ask their name, or at least something about them.
she was doing her makeup, not entirely sure what sort of look she was going for. the girl looked away from her mirror to get her eyeliner. when she turned back, there was a small heart on her cheekbone. her mouth opened slightly.
"so you wanna play that game?" she muttered. as she stated at her reflection for a few moments, she decided to leave it, making an identical one on her other cheek.

"yeah, it was almost like my soulmate new i was gonna stream today." elise laughed. many donations were pointing out the hearts on her face. the one she had made with makeup was slightly smudged. she would've done it in sharpie so her soulmate could actually see it, but decided against it. makeup didn't work to communicate with soulmates.
along her arms and hands were various short conversations. her writing was usually in purple ink, while theirs was in red. she wondered what they looked like. based only on their handwriting, she thought it was a boy, but you never know.
"you and sapnap should play more" text to speech read out.
"thank you! and there's only so much of that guy i can handle. one minute he's yelling at me and the next he's giving me presents." she teased. "don't tell him but i do find him very funny." this was a joke as he was in chat.
suddenly, he joined her vc.
"aw, ellie, you find me funny?" he was using a bit of a baby voice to try and get under her skin. "offended at the first part, though."
"shut up, i'm not wrong." she shrugged. "and you are the tiniest bit funny sometimes." in actuality, he made her laugh the hardest out of the majority of her friends.
nick sat there talking to her as she worked on a farm. he still had her stream open, and couldn't help but find his eyes wandering to her face cam. instinctively, his hand flew to his cheek, where an identical heart to hers was.
