Gem POV

{Song, Am I supposed to apologize by Maria Mena.}

I wandered around the small town aimlessly, not really knowing where I was supposed to go. I saw a university and walked towards there, not exactly knowing how I was going to find them. I saw a fimiliar, unemotional face standing on the steps.

"Aquarius?" I asked. She turned around and smiled painfully. "What's wrong?"

"Stupid people won't let me in," Aquarius mumbled. "Virgo, the zodiac, he's in there."

"How do you know?" I asked. She glared at me.

"Have you even bothered to look at you necklace you dingbat?" she asked. Aquarius sighed and brought out her necklace. The once black gem was glowing brown with the name Virgo on it. "Follow." She walked away from the school and the brightness of the necklace started to dim. She walked back to the school and the necklace glowed brighter.

"That's a good idea," I said. Aquarius rolled her eyes, but I knew her well enough to know that she was secretly pleased. I dug out the necklace and watched the black gem turn a soft yellow. The name Mini appeared. The necklace was a dull colour, meaning she wasn't in there.

"Well, see ya later," I said. "I'm off to find Mini, whoever that is."

"Probably your long lost twin or something," Aquarius joked. "I mean Gem, Mini? Gem-mini as in Gemini."

"When did you get so smart?" I asked. Aquarius gave me an offended look.

"I'm smart!" she exclaimed. "Now shoo! I guess I'll just have to wait." I shurgged and walked towards the center of town. I stopped at a cute little cafe. The necklace was glowing a little bit more brightly, although it didn't seem to interested in that place. I went in anyway since I was hungry and I wanted some food. Also no Taurus to steal all of it so, yay for that.

"Hello, what can I get you--" the cashire looked up and gasped. "You're new! I mean I've never seen you around so you must be new."

"Yeah, I am," I said. "So what do you, uh, recommend?"

"Any of the cakes here are delicious, grandmama bakes them perfectly," the cashire said. "Coffeee here isn't the strongest but the foods pretty good. So anything really." I stared at the board full of options.

"I'll have a small roastbeef sandwhich, some ginger tea and a little slice of cheescake," I said. The cashire nodded and wrote down my order.

"That'll be 15.98," she said, oh yeah, the cashire's a girl. "One roastbeef sandwhich, one ginger tea and one slice of cheescake! So what's your name?"

"Gem, you?" I asked.

"Astrid," she replied. "Here's your order Gem, have a good day and hope you enjoy our quiet little town." She flashed me a smile then went to assist the next customer. I sat at one of the tables and ate my food while staring out the window.

After finishing eating I decided to continue looking for this Mini character. I thought back to us getting here.

---Flash back---

"Okay seriously Taurus," Leo said. "You're going to die from eating too much." Taurus rolled her eyes.

"And you're going to die alone and unloved because all you bothered to love was your pride," Taurus responded. Leo gave Taurus a look of disgust and rolled her eyes. I swear if she rolled her pretty green eyes anymore they'd be stuck in the back of her head.
