Capricorn POV
I was still kind of confused on how everything worked, I mean 7 teenagers just happen to be the seven deadly sins? How? Satan and Lucifer, pride and wrath, were still, I don't know, alive! It just doesn't make any freaking sense logically. My brain was slowly melting along with my sanity. Oh gosh, never thought I'd say it, but I miss school.
Basil was curled around my arm, his slitted eyes staring intensely at me.
"Hi," I said. No, you don't sound insane at all Capricorn. Basil's tongue darted out and he almost seemed to relax.
"You've been silent Cap," Virgo observed.
"Just thinking..." I said. Virgo nodded in understanding, he understood overthinking.
"If you want you could...I don't know, ask away," Aquarius asked, the words obviously feeling foreign in her mouth.
"How does that work?" I asked. "I mean I understand how Taurus, Gem, Scorpio, and Ophiuchus exist but I don't understand how Aries and Leo appeared. Their sins still have a demon body."
"Ahh yes, that question," Aries said. "Well even though Satan and Lucifer are still "alive", they still had to create Leo and me. All seven of the sins kind of agreed to a fight. They created us in case they died...5 did. Satan and Lucifer just couldn't kill each other. So we still exist and so do they." Interesting.
"So what exactly is the plan of action?" Mini asked, casually spinning a knife on the table.
"Where'd you get the knife?" Aquarius asked.
"The kitchen," Mini said. She waved the knife around carelessly, nearly slicing Sagittarius's nose off.
"Careful where you wave that thing," was all Sagittarius said, no big outbursts, no explosions, just a dead, empty cautioning.
"I was kind of thinking that we befriend or at least get Satan on our side," Virgo said absent-mindedly. "Might be useful to have him on our side."
"And how exactly are we supposed to do that?" Aquarius asked.
"How should I know?" Virgo asked, giving her a look. "I didn't spend my life dealing with demons like you guys have, so figure it out."
"Any other bright ideas?" Aries asked, obviously trying to hold back his anger.
"No?" I said, suddenly standing up. "Cool, we'll just be on our way back to earth. Thank you for your time guys." I got up, ready to walk out the door.
"Sit down," Leo snapped. "We obviously aren't done."
"No of course not," I said taking a seat.
"Lucifer is pride, so he obviously wants to be around someone who feeds his ego," Aquarius reasoned. "So who's the biggest suck-up?" I looked around. None of us were really "suck-ups" as Aquarius put it.
"I think it should be a human," Scorpio drawled. "Less suspicious."
"Smart," Virgo muttered. "How about Cap does it?"
"Wait what?" I said.
"Don't give me that look, Cap," my cousin said to me, a slight scowl present. "You're smart and can act well, you'll be able to handle yourself if things go wrong."
"Are you saying that the rest of us can't?" Mini demanded.
"No, I'm just saying that people like you Mini are much too impulsive and would most likely hurt or kill yourself attempting to do this," Virgo stated. "Capricorn is less impulsive and more calculated, making him the perfect candidate." Mini threw him a deadly glare.
"I hate all of you," I said. "I don't get a say in any of this BS?"
"Nope, now go charm up Lucifer," Virgo said. "Fine, but if I'm going to die I'm dragging Aquarius with me."
"Wait what?" Aquarius said. "Da hell Capricorn! I am not dying for any of you!"
"Fine," I said. "Leo could do better than you could anyway, come on Leo."
"Damn straight I can," Leo said, tossing her hair. Aquarius glared at Leo with envy mixed in with a few other emotions that I couldn't place. The two of us walked down the hall, Leo's eyes darting back and forth as if expecting an attack.
"You seem jumpy," I said.
"Sherlock," Leo said sarcastically.
"What's Lucifer like?" I asked. Leo paused, thinking.
"Well he's obviously very prideful, like moi," Leo said. "A lot calmer than Satan, and more collected. Calculating, so he's probably already made a plan to escape and a backup plan and a backup plan for the backup plan. He's smart but very violent and ruthless, all in all, don't piss him off."
"Sounds like a nice guy," I mumbled. Leo let out a half-broken laugh. She lifted her shoulder.
"Yup, about as nice as a cobra."
"Damn these hallways are long, how much farther," I said.
"We're here," Leo said. Of course, the doors were painted in what appeared to be blood. Souls seemed to be chained to the door and the door was big and heavy looking. Leo opened it with ease. "Your majesty." She bowed and I did the same not wanting my head to get lopped off.
"Leo, what are you doing here," Satan drawled.
"He's in a good mood," Leo whispered to me. "Don't do anything to make him mad. Oh great Lord Satan we are looking for Lucifer, my mortal companion would like to see him."
"Why would your mortal companion like to see Lucifer?" Satan drawled.
"Because he wishes to know more about demons and he wanted to start with Lucifer," Leo said.
"He's not here," Satan said. "I don't know and I don't care about where he is."
"Brother I certainly hope you're not talking about me," Lucifer said appearing from wherever. Satan waved a lazy hand to me and Leo.
"A human wants to see you, don't know why though," Satan said.
"Well he certainly wouldn't want to see you," Lucifer quipped. "So what do you want human?"
"Oh wow!" I said, forcing an expression of awe onto my face. "You're so much more impressive in real life. Leo was telling me all about you! It's just you're so amazing and I have a couple of questions and, oh my gosh you're so amazing!" A look of pride flashed over Lucifer's face.
"What's your name human?" Lucifer asked.
"Cap," I said, hell no I wasn't giving this man my real name.
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you." He tilted his head as if assessing me. Seeing what my value was and how I'd benefit him.
"Well if you could please leave my throne room that would be great," Satan said, implying that this was not a suggestion. Lucifer's mouth curled in a small sneer. He looked at Leo and then me.
"What do you both really want?" he asked after we were outside of the throne room.
"10 minutes of your time," I said.
"Why?"
"Because we both know that you're better than Satan," I lied. "Because we both know that you want the throne, and we can help you get it."
"You have ten minutes, make it worth it," Lucifer said.
