"Autumn?" I called to her and she peeped her head around the corner. "Eat eat?" I said and she smiled walking in. Once she got beside me she tapped my leg and I looked down at her. "Mama?" She asked while looking sad. No lie that shit kind of fucked with me. I stared at her for a second.
"She's gone right now and left you to play." I said and she walked away.
"Daveeee!" I screamed and he walked down stairs with Sereiya in his arms.
"Hey mommy babyyy." I said and she smiled at me.
I had cooked spaghetti because I didn't really feel like cooking and me and Dave had to go take care of Ashley.
I fixed Autumn and Dave a plate and Dave picked Autumn up and sat her on the counter and she began to eat. I can honestly say that Dave hasn't treated Autumn like an outcast. She fits right in and that's how I wanted it to be call me crazy if you want.
Chrissy wanted Mekhai, Malikai, and Cairo to meet Autumn and Sereiya while we left to go take care of Ashley.
After we got done eating we heard a knock on the door and it was India, Sev, Gio, and Chrissy with the boys.
"Hey yalll." I said while the boys ran up and hugged my legs.
I went and grabbed Sereiya and her little swing and strapped her in. The boys came over and peeked at her and she just stared at them.
Mekhai reached out to touch her foot and I was scared that he was going to hurt her but he gently touched her and smiled.
"Yeaaaa they gon be tight!" Sev said and everybody agreed.
"We gotta get going y'all." Dave said and I nodded agreeing and everybody said bye and with that we left.
We had her tied up in the basement of the trap.
We went over and walked downstairs to see her sitting down in the chair kind of slumped over. I walked over and kicked her.
"Get up." I said and she opened her eyes and looked at me but didn't say anything.
"Look. I took autumn. So before I kill yo goofy ass. Imma need you to sign yo rights over." I said and she looked at me crazy.
"What? I can't do that." She said.
"Girl I'm trying to be the bigger person and look out for your daughter. I could kill you and take her back to the trailer and let her sit there until somebody finds her but I'm not that type of person. Sign your rights over. It's the best choice for her because you are going to die." I said and she shook her head and thought about it.
"Fine. Where are the papers?" She asked and I grabbed them from my purse and sat them down in front of her and untied her hands.
She signed the papers and gave me back the pen and the papers. "Look Zaniyah. Im sorry about how I approached the situation with Dave, but I know there's no getting out of this. I just want you to take care of my baby." She said while smiling.
"Can I at least FaceTime her?" She asked and I stared at her and pulled my phone out and FaceTimed Chrissy.
"Where's autumn?" I said and she showed her on the camera and she was playing with Mekhai and Cairo. "Give her the phone." I said and she did and I gave Ashley the phone also.
"Heyyy mommy baby." Ashley said into the phone and Autumn's face lit up.
"Hi!" She said while smiling.
"Look baby. Mommy's going to be gone for a long time. So you're going to be with Dave and Niyah okay? I love you soooo much." She said and she nodded.
"I love you too mama." She said and with that Ashley hung up and handed me the phone and she broke down crying.
I sat there and stared at her. This shit was eating me alive right now. I quietly untied Ashley and told her to stand up and she looked at me weird.
"I'm going to let you live and go back to Autumn. As long as you don't act how you were acting at first." I said to her and she smiled.
"Why are you doing this?" She asked kind of confused.
"I can't take you away from your daughter like that. You're all she's got. I couldn't live with myself knowing I took a child away from her mother." I said and she broke down crying.
"Oh my god thank you." She said and I nodded and walked out quickly. I was becoming emotional for some reason. Dave came out behind me.
"I couldn't do it. I'm sorry." I said and he walked over and hugged me.
"It's okay. I'm not mad that you didn't do it. Hopefully she learned her lesson this time." He said while rubbing my back and he kissed my forehead.
I went back into the room and told her to come on. I was going to go get Autumn and take them back home.
We all got into the car and she sat quietly and I heard her sniffing every now and then. We got home and I opened the door and let her walk in first.
She called out to Autumn and Autumn came running to her and she broke down into tears again and Chrissy and Gio looked at me weird.
I walked over to them. "I couldn't take her away from Autumn. The only reason she still walking is because of her daughter." I said and they nodded understandingly.
We left once again and took them home. "Thank you Zaniyah." She said while she held a sleeping Autumn in her arms.
"You're welcome." I said
We returned home once again and I went upstairs to give Sereiya a bath. I ran the water and sat down her little flower bed and sat her inside.
"Say cheese for mommy." I said while smiling and she stared at me. "You ain't gotta act like yo daddy." I said while snapping the picture and she finally smiled.
