I stepped into the Yamaguchi household with Tadashi's mother, feeling awful for her. This couldn't be easy on her. She was happy not long ago and now all of a sudden her son is a murderer and a kidnapper? I felt absolutely awful for her.
She led me up to his room and let me look into his closet. Sure enough, there were tons of pictures of Y/n L/n here in the closet. I sighed and turned to her tearstained face. "I'm terribly sorry, Mrs. Yamaguchi. I know this is awful for you."
"Just please. Please find that boy and get him home safely. Please don't let my son be responsible for another death." I nodded and left the house, going back to the police department to look over evidence.
I took out everything and looked it over multiple times. There was no way around it, these two boys really played the system so well not even a detective could have figured it out. I groaned and slammed my head on the desk. How the hell was a tricked by a 16 year old kid?!
I lifted my head up and stood up from my desk. There was nothing else for me to look at here. It was already solved, for real this time. All that was left was to find the two boys so no one else got hurt.
I stepped out of my office and immediately heard screaming. Some old man was demanding to speak to the detective who was running the suicide boys case. I walked over to him and spoke to him as calmly as I could.
"Sir. I'm the detective working this case, do you have something to report?"
"THOSE BASTARDS KILLED MY FUCKING GRANDSON!" My eyes widened and I grabbed the man's arm, walking him towards my office and closing the door behind us.
"Please tell me what happened and what you know."
He took a few deep breaths and then spoke with a shaky voice. "My grandson, Nishinoya Yū, came to you to report those two boys for kidnapping his ex boyfriend and keeping him captive in his house. I found Yū dead on my porch last night. I couldn't move. They stabbed my boy to death and then left him like he didn't even matter." I felt my eyes get wide and I walked over to him, hugging him to my chest and rocking a little.
He didn't push me away, he just cried. I am so sorry, sir. I should've figured it out sooner. He finally pulled away from me and looked me dead in the face. "Find those boys. Make them pay. And keep Y/n safe, please."
I nodded and he stood up, leaving my office. I sighed and shook the thoughts out of my head. I left my office and headed straight for the chiefs office. This was ending today.
I knocked on the door and Chief opened it up, letting me inside. I didn't sit down, I just looked to him. "We need to investigate the house of Y/n L/n. We have enough evidence to believe he is still alive and being held captive there. And another thing, the boy that came here to give a statement yesterday was found dead last night, we have suspicion he was murdered by the two boys he was accusing of kidnapping and murder." The chief sighed and nodded his head. Pointing towards the door.
