A/N- We're almost nearing the end of the story! Thanks for reading this far! :) Also, don't forget to add comments when you have something to say- I'd love hearing from you.
I woke up in a haze, not even really thinking for a moment. I liked the bubbly time before the realities of life set in as I gazed up at the ceiling of my apartment. It was nice, but, like all good things, it sadly came to an end. My mind finally completed loading, and all the events (old and new) hit me like a brick.
I kissed Jeremy, didn't I?
Frantically, I checked for that one message that caused it all.
Yes, it wasn't a dream. I did.
I couldn't tell if that made me feel better or worse. Did that count as cheating on Rich? I mean, it's not like I actually thought anything of it. I didn't have the intention of shattering any bonds of trust.
But, might I've actually meant something of it?
I hate to say, but I did enjoy it. Just a little bit. Or a lot a bit? He was definitely pretty, just like that boy I used to know and love...
Sitting up, I looked around the room to find it surprisingly empty. My eyes locked onto a note on the desk, and I picked it up.
Me and Jared went to go get coffee- I wanted to let you sleep since we have the big concert tonight and you should rest for it. We'll bring you something!
<3 Rich
I smiled at the note before it reminded me- the concert. The mystery fan concert. That's today? Like, today, today?
With my fucked up love life I didn't allow my brain to wrap around the fact that it was an actual huge thing. I didn't even know for sure who the mystery fans would be.
I was fairly sure I knew one would be Rich. It just makes sense, since we're a thing and all (although it really doesn't feel like it). But who was the other one?
I'm sure Rich and Jared have it all planned out, since I wasn't supposed to know exactly who they were, yet you'd think they'd screw something up that then I would at least have a hint. Apparently, they really covered their tracks.
I snapped out of my thoughts and looked around the apartment again- at the messy couch that's supposed to be a bed, the huge floor-to-ceiling window that showcased the whole city, the kitchenette, my bed...
Looking at the sheets for another time, all I wanted to do with my effed-up life at this moment was just go back to sleep.
And so I did.
Or at least tried to.
I had already made myself comfortable when the apartment door opened.
"Micha-"
"He's still asleep lmao."
Yes, Jared said "lmao" out loud. He's just like that sometimes.
"Micha..." Rich said as I felt his presence move closer to me. I suppressed a smile, but a bit of a smirk sneaked through.
"I know you're awake."
His words broke my cover, and soon enough we were both laughing. I opened my eyes.
"We brought you coffee and donuts."
I sat up, grateful for life's simple pleasures. The little things that keep you going when it all has gone to shit.
I knew I won't be able to get back to sleep after this, so I grabbed my phone and opened Twitter.
Michael Mell
Can't wait to get on stage with the 2 mystery fans tomorrow!
#MITB_BADROMANCE
"Can't wait."
The truth is, I really didn't want to do it all that much. But it's not like I could back out now. Everyone is already so excited, everything is already planned, and I can't just bring disappointment to all these people.
My post has already gotten a hundred likes. Holy shit.
Welp, I definitely can't back out now.
. . .
The rest of this day went by in a blur, and soon enough I found myself backstage that night preparing to go on. I checked my phone one last time, reading the waterfall of tweets that kept flowing in.
"Holy shit- I'm excited!"
"Really jealous of those lucky fans... but excited as hell!"
"I wanna sing with Michael too!"
"AaAAaAA"
I smirked down at my screen, then quickly switched off my phone. It was just about time, and my stomach ached with nervous excitement.
Suddenly feeling a hand on my shoulder, I whipped my head around behind me.
"Lets go," Jared said with a smile.
