Derek Morgan pounded on the door of the apartment. After a full six minutes of the entire team coaxing information from the person at the front desk, they had gotten the apartment number for Johnathan and Ryan Shaw. There was still no answer after thirty seconds of pounding.

"FBI. Ryan and Johnathan Shaw. We know you're in there. We can work this out. Open the door." No answer. Derek turned on his heels and motioned for the people around him to take a step back. He backed up four steps and then launched himself forward, straight into the door. It fell down flat in it's face, inviting all of the agents inside.

They carefully made their way in. Emily had both hands on her gun, Spencer had one hand on, Derek had the flashlight atop his gun on and working, Aaron followed the group close behind, on the phone with the agent Rossi.

"Get out." A voice demanded from close by. "You can have all girls back and we'll keep Lucy."

Spencer decided then and there that he was not going to leave without putting up the best fight he possibly could.

"Mr. Shaw," Hotch's voice seemed so calm. "We need all the girls. They all need to be back with their families. It isn't right."

"It's what she deserves. I deserve what I got. This is what she deserves now." Agent Derek Morgan was now face to face with none other than Ryan Shaw, who was holding quite the steak knife.

Spencer dragged a hand through his greasy hair and spun around like a dog chasing his own tail. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Was this guy nuts? His Lucy didn't deserve this. Definitely not.

"Listen to me Mr. Shaw, karma is an extremely powerful thing. It works it very funny ways. She'll get what's coming to her, but this is not it. This isn't karma. It's just revenge." Aaron crept closer to the man, who held the steak knife out at an arms length now. "If you out the knife down, we can talk about it."

"Ryan?"

Everyone turned- including Spencer- to find themselves staring at Johnathan. There was a collective two-second-long heart break over his age. He was too young for this. It became clear that this was Ryan's plan all along.

"John, tell them. Tell them how Lucy deserved this. Tell them how all those girls were practice for the real thing. They were all the same as here, with their one parent and soccer and hair and eyes and height and weight and- they were the same." Ryan looked like a mad man in the bad lightening. His brother watched with pity. His own heart was beginning to break. "Tell them about how you fell in love with Elizabeth. Tell them."

Johnathan's face flushed. He recalled of the way she would say his name Johnny, nobody called him that. Not anymore, at least. He remembered their time together before the abduction. Before everything. How much he liked her. How he fell in love with her while she was in their grasp. How she had died from the malnutrition and thirst and other terrible conditions.
