Season 1 - Chapter 31: Die or Survive

Damien ran against the serpents. Mahigpit ang pagkakayakap ni Celestial sa kaniyang leeg. He almost choke with her grip, he could not focus of doing somersaults because of her trembles and yelps. What the fudge is wrong with her? Couldn't she just trust him at least for the moment? She's being noisy, and it's crapping his shit out.

He tried focusing. Good thing the serpents were of physicals attacks. The monsters do not use magic, it has no jeopardizing stare, hence it is poisonous enough to kill a person. What Damien could just do is to avoid being bitten while going against its way. He furrowed as he steeplechase, halfway meeting the monsters he struggled because Celestial gripped his neck making him choke once again.

"What the fish are you doing? Just calm down and trust me, okay?" He yelp getting rid of the girl's hand on his neck, "You bitch, I will protect you. Okay?"

Celestial couldn't be more scared. She has nothing, she doesn't possess a combat ability. All she could do is to seer someone, a person, not events. If only she could also seer outcomes, well then she would be very useful. But that's not it, she's nothing but someone who could bring the team down right at the moment. She lacks combat ability, and her abilities are useless for the moment.

"Calm down, I can feel you struggling. Stop it!"

Celestial dug her fingernails to his back making him yelp in annoyance, "You are going against three serpents. I am nothing but a mere kid, how could I possibly calm down?" She reasons out, "You can combat and protect yourself! I can't!"

"Well then shut up and let me protect you!"

She lost her words with what he have said. She furrowed and cleared her throats calming herself a bit.

Damien finally got to focus. He rushes to the left attacking one serpent, but instead of assailing, he slides down amidst the first and second serpent and passed them through. Celestial couldn't help but to scream and cry. She started gripping him again harder this time, she closed her eyes to block the view. She don't want to see what's happening, it's giving her heart attack.

Damien landed fine. Matapos nilang makalampas ay nagpatuloy siya sa pagkaripas ng takbo. Tinanggal niya ang mga kamay na sumasakal sa kaniya, kung hindi hihinto sa pananakal ang babae ay pareho silang mapapahamak. Hindi siya mamamatay sa kamay ng mga serpyente, mamamatay siya sa kamay ng babae na kung makasakal ay wagas!

"Kung wala kang maitutulong, huwag kang manakit!"

Tila naman natauhan doon si Celestial. Agad siyang napamulat at napabitaw kay Damien. At isang napakatangang pagkilos, kung hindi pa siya muling napahawak sa leeg ni Damien ay maiiwan ang kaniyang katawan dahil sa bilis ng pagtakbo nito. Muli siyang naluha dahil sa lakas ng pagkalabog ng kaniyang dibdib. Ano'ng pinaggagawa niya sa buhay niya?

Damien just clicked his tongue, "Just calm down, I know what I'm doing."

Celestial sighed and stilled herself at his back. Right, she could not do anything to help so she must not make things worse for him.

Looks like the sovereigns have this mighty instincts. They have this sharp senses towards each other. Sabay kasing narating nina Van, Damon at Damien ang parte ng tavern kung saan naroroon ang pool. Nakabalik na sila sa pinanggalingan nila, siguro naman ay pwede na silang makalabas.

They panted while Celestial remained at Damien's back. He could not let her go either, she'll just slow him down if the monsters suddenly appear and she's only on herself for a run. Damn, why does he feel like she's his responsibility for the moment?

"We lost the basilisk. Sa tingin ko'y bumalik ang halimaw na iyon dito. It's somewhere around this area. I hope not but I think it's--"

Van was cut off when a large splash of water attacked them. It came from the dirty pool. Maigi silang napaatras at napatakip ng kani-kanilang kapa dahil tila sila inulan ng magkabilang pool. Nasa middle pathway sila, magkabilaan ang maruruming pool at sa parehong pool nanggagaling ang atake.

Now, what the heck is this?

"Oh my freaking goodness!"

They all stepped back when the basilisk rose from the pool with a thundering sound. Siguro'y naririnig na ang ingay nito mula sa labas. Isa lang ang ibig sabihin nito, makalabas man sila o hindi, kapahamakan ang sasalubong sa mga Maharlika. With the loud eerie noises coming from the monsters, sure the people outside the tavern sent a message to the palace that something's strange happening underground.

What a trouble! And yeah, trouble. They're in deep trouble right at the moment. The basilisk is now blind, hence it has gotten stronger after its revival. Mukhang nabuhay itong muli o kaya'y kumuha ng lakas mula sa tubig. Ibig sabihin lamang ay tubig ang lakas ng halimaw na iyon.

"This is imposible! How do we face this now?" Damon asked in complete shock.

"We need to get out of here!" The Prince responded as they stepped back.

Damon slowly glanced at the other pool where the other strange splashes came from. His eyes widened in total disbelief, he could not believe this! No, he doesn't want to believe this. Celestial and Damien's eyes were now also on the other monster rising after the basilisk.

Holy fishes the freaking mother of cheesecakes! What the hell is this thing? They have another company! A noxious creature, it's probably the owner of the snake skin they saw earlier. It looks fresh now, bigger and more venomous. What kind of trouble in the land have they summoned? What an unfortunate people!

"V-Van, another one!" Damon stutters.

"Goodness!" Van exclaimed in disbelief creeping them all together. Now, even the Prince creeped out? It means they're a total mess now!

The mother serpent and the basilisk slowly advanced together with a clamorous roar, and they all stepped back in synchronized movement as if the world hanged suddenly. Van draw his sword, Damon prepared his stamina for a big demise and Damien gripped the girl protectively behind him. Celestial could not do anything but to grip the person carrying her but careful this time. She doesn't want Damien to finally lose his shit, he might throw her against these monsters anytime if she thrash stupidly.

It was in Celestial's mind. But the situation tells her not to behave so. Just when the monsters created a bang of clangorous sound against them, she also join its creeps.

"Mga bobo, takbo!"

The boys stared at her in incredulity. What the fish did she just said? Damon furrowed, Van clicked his tongue and Damien glared daggers at her over his shoulders.

Before they could say something to her, the monsters assembled making them hastily run away.

"Did you just call us bobo?" Damon hissed, range bottling inside him while running away.

"For someone who doesn't know survival, you sure are talkative and you sure have lots of senseless concerns." Van snarled gnashing his teeth.

Overcoming her fear and lost of words, she rebutted; "Excuse me? But why are we running away? Kanina lang ang yayabang niyo, ba't di niyo harapin yan ngayon?"

"A few minutes earlier, the basilisk showed itself stronger than before. And right now, we have another company to settle. The other three serpents are approaching, those monsters are smaller than the maternal but sneaky, and this mother serpent behind us is large and hella ugly." Van seethed.

With all her gathered courage, she spoke; "You scared, Prince?"

"You fucking know how to wrap people around your tiny fingers, huh. Being manipulative right now, aren't we?" The Prince growled now with triggered glowing eyes, "Stop running. We're gonna face these freaks either we die or survive."
