"You opened the door, didn't you?"

You woke right back up.

"What?"

"You heard me."

The sick feeling in your stomach had returned.

"B..."

"I asked you not to cause trouble."

You were on the verge of tears. You had gone from being overwhelmed with love and the thought of marriage and now he's bringing this up.

"(F/N) did I not tell you specifically to not go into that room?"

You couldn't tell what he was thinking. He was still embracing you from behind and his voice was so calm. It was unnerving.

"Answer me."

"Yes,"

You responded, your voice shaking,

"I'm sorry. I didn't do anything."

"What did you see?"

You felt the tears start to spill.

"Are you scared of me?"

He asked, rubbing his hand up and down your side.

"No,"

"No? Then why are you crying?"

You rolled onto your back so you could see him.

"I don't know."

He ran his fingers over your cheeks, wiping your tears away.

"You know I'd never hurt you."

He assured. You weren't sure what to think. The man in front of you, who had just asked you to marry him was also the man who had a room that reminded you of a scene from a horror film Over the last couple of days, he had been so sweet; showering you with affection. You had almost put aside the fact he literally took you and was keeping you in this place. You were truely happy with him, and it felt nice. But after seeing that room, you were bought back to reality. Beyond was a killer.

"(F/N)?"

He leant in closer to your face,

"Please don't be afraid of me,"

You wrapped your arms around him, hugging him tight. You tucked your head into the crook of his neck. Then, in a muffled voice, asked,

"Do you promise you won't hurt me?"

"Do you promise you won't hurt me?"

I could feel her body shaking as I held her. She was scared of me; I knew it. I didn't understand why she had said yes to me if she thought I was going to hurt her. Or maybe that's why she said yes...

"I could never even think about laying a hand on you,"

In my head, this was true. I would never hurt her or put her in harms way. But all I could think about was the number that floated above her head. I couldn't shake the thought that it might be me who causes her to die on that day.
She pulled away from me, looking at me with her teary eyes.

"I promise you (F/N), I would never hurt you. I would do everything in my power to stop anyone or anything from ever hurting you again."
