Many nights I've dreamt
Of lying down with you
Being held.
You know. . . in your bed
Using only one side because we love to be that close.
I've imagined my head on your chest and your heartbeat pulsing through my mind.
Every beat vibrating troubles off of every single nerve
I wanted to to cater to your every need
I wanted to please you at the drop of a dime
I wanted to kiss you and let our lips linger for a while after
I wanted you
But that'll never happen
You've cut me off like an injured wing and I wondered how you would fly without me
You talked about sitting on the kitchen floor together in our own solitude
Just us
You sold me all of the dreams in the world and I bought every single one and even left a tip
And now
I'm left with nothing - sxmx
